Product Description

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a run and gun video game developed by LucasArts and originally published by Konami for the Super Nintendo and Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis consoles in 1993. The object of the game is for one or two players to take control of protagonists Zeke and Julie to rescue the titular neighbors from monsters often seen in horror movies. Aiding them in this task are a variety of weapons and power-ups that can be used to battle the numerous enemies in each level. Various elements and aspects of horror movies are referenced in the game with some of its more violent content being censored in various territories such as Europe and Australia, where it is known only as Zombies.

I've just recently become interested in the video games of my childhood again, and, while I thought of a lot of games long forgotton, Zombies Ate My Neighbors was one of my personal favorites. It seems that the premise of the game is terribly simple, but the game is challenging and fun.
There are 55 levels in the game, each one increasing in difficulty, and any horror movie character you could ever imagine. They try to attack your neighbors as you run around frantically, shooting at them with a water gun.
You can play a single player game, or team up with a friend, which I highly recommend- it gets things done faster, and you get killed less.
There is a version of this game for both SNES and Sega Genesis, and both are great games, but I prefer the Sega Genesis version. Either way, it's a great game, and you'll be glad you played it. I definately recommend this game to anyone who enjoys video games.

This game is the first ZOMBIE game I ever saw. Before Resident Evil and Dead Rising was Zombies ate my Neighbors. Now the premise is that you play as either a boy, wearing 3D glasses or a girl that looks like she was playing baseball. You are armed with a gun with limited ammo and in every level you must save your neighbors before the monsters get them or you.

The levels are diverse and fun to play, from your backyard where you need to use trampolines to get over fences and find keys to unlock sheds to the mall where there are multiple floors and different shops to enter. The levels are all colorful and require different actions to clear.

The weapons are classic. Your main gun has a set number of shots so you need to collect ammo as well as find other weapons, like the sodas which you shake and throw to create a bomb effect. The weapons will make you laugh even as the zombies are chewing on you.

The enemies are funny, the zombies are green skinned things that slowly follow you and try to chomp. The enemies are all unique in their patterns and the numbers of them are massive, not to mention they continously respawn.

The neighbors range from babies, cheerleaders, old men, to even dogs. You must save as many as possible in order to clear the level. Many are out in front and will be eaten quickly unless you get them first and others are secluded and you will need to find a key or clear an obstacle to get them.

This game is 16 bit greatness and today I still enjoy playing this game, but my SNES is not working right now so i have to wait until I get a new one or get mine fixed, both of which I am too lazy to do. But when I do get it up and running again I will be sure to give this game a run through again.

This is a fun game that went unappreciated, which is very disappointing considering how much fun, humor, creative weapons, and odd tasks are all stuffed into this game. You basically run around saving your neighbors before the zombies can get to them. This is actually a very addicting process, and collecting items has never really been as fun as it is in this game. The weapons are nutty and are really quite fun to use on zombies, clones, and whatever other enemies this hilarious game throws at you. This game is classic that should never ever be forgotten and slip into time without anyone noticing.

I got this item for my 15-year-old brother because he loves zombies and heard of this game. We had so much fun playing this game and the game was in good condition so no problems were eminent. It's old school but quite fun and the zombies aren't so easy to squash off.

I grew up on Super NES and sadly this was one of those games I missed out on my childhood. I first found out about this game by a horrendous review by an infamous game reviewer on youtube called the irate gamer who is a direct ripoff from a much better and A much knowledgeable game reviewer called the AVGN (AKA Angry video game nerd) and thats what incouraged me to buy this game.

The game is great it has a nice maze where you can run to save your neighbors from the zombies. The weapons are ok I guess but I find myself more likely to be running away from the zombies in later levels because my weapons are usless. I never beat the game but 55 levels should be alot for A SNES and I prefere not to use the passwords because that takes all the fun out of it. I also believe if you die 3 times the game is completely over and you start back to the beginning and the controller is very well responding and the music is pretty cool too.

My final verdict Is screw the irate gamer and buy this game. You will not regret it!

It's also available on the Wii VC for 800 points ($8)!

Thank you Lucas Arts (RIP) for releasing this game to the wii VC!
