1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously? February 14, 2010
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book was poorly written. The only positive aspect was that the knowledge was very broad, they hit on a lot of different subjects. The "illustrations" were poorly edited photos where they jacked up the contrast. I could have done better work with a copier machine and an exacto knife. The proposed courses of action were ripped straight from british military doctrine, and were poorly adapted to the particular situation. Airborne helicopter assaults? Against Zombies? Seriously.

Also according to this book, a Zombie will eventually die if you strike a major organ. I'm sorry, did you just redefine a zombie in a book modeled after a Romero-esque apocalypse? It's clear that this book was the product of two people thinking they had loads of applicable knowledge without doing any research, or analysis. Much of the book was ripped from other, more gifted authors, such as Brooks, or Glavey. I mean, c'mon.

If you use this book as a guideline, well, you are f***ed.

2.0 out of 5 stars Needs a competent editor November 13, 2010
By Rymek
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book, while well thought out is full of minor spelling errors and evidence of spellcheck editing IE "...they can also psychically transport infected material" vs "...they can also physically transport infected material". While these are minor errors something like that changes the meaning and abilities implied.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty decent April 26, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Well, this book is certainly the most serious book about zombies. And i really enjoyed the deep thought and scientific facts he put into it. And i know a lot of you people probably are saying this guy is crazy... but this stuff is all too real. And if it were to happen . well this guy covers it all he talks about the first 72 hrs of the outbreak and what you should do depending on what type of area you live in. He also skimms tactics with weapons but that part is mostly in the sequel " Zompoc, weapons and tactics" but anyway he carries on about vehicles, modifications, you name it it is here.

MINUSES; On the downside of this book there are a lot of grammar mistakes but you can still figure it out. Oh and one other thing sometime in the middle he makes fun of americans being stupid i mean whats up with that. But other than that it is a must buy, now it is yours to enjoy

There was another reviewer who mentioned that this book isn't a bad primer for those who haven't actually researched any other planning. I agree, but with a caveat. Read more
