This book was too based in the fantasy of zombies to be worth anything on a survival level.
Christopher Schober
This book is so full of spelling errors and poor British grammar I had to set it down after page 50 to keep myself from the stupidity.
Cody Orr
Read the following sentence, and if it bothers you (as it does me) skip this book, and look elsewhere.

This book was poorly written. The only positive aspect was that the knowledge was very broad, they hit on a lot of different subjects. The "illustrations" were poorly edited photos where they jacked up the contrast. I could have done better work with a copier machine and an exacto knife. The proposed courses of action were ripped straight from british military doctrine, and were poorly adapted to the particular situation. Airborne helicopter assaults? Against Zombies? Seriously.

Also according to this book, a Zombie will eventually die if you strike a major organ. I'm sorry, did you just redefine a zombie in a book modeled after a Romero-esque apocalypse? It's clear that this book was the product of two people thinking they had loads of applicable knowledge without doing any research, or analysis. Much of the book was ripped from other, more gifted authors, such as Brooks, or Glavey. I mean, c'mon.

If you use this book as a guideline, well, you are f***ed.

This book, while well thought out is full of minor spelling errors and evidence of spellcheck editing IE "...they can also psychically transport infected material" vs "...they can also physically transport infected material". While these are minor errors something like that changes the meaning and abilities implied.

Well, this book is certainly the most serious book about zombies. And i really enjoyed the deep thought and scientific facts he put into it. And i know a lot of you people probably are saying this guy is crazy... but this stuff is all too real. And if it were to happen . well this guy covers it all he talks about the first 72 hrs of the outbreak and what you should do depending on what type of area you live in. He also skimms tactics with weapons but that part is mostly in the sequel " Zompoc, weapons and tactics" but anyway he carries on about vehicles, modifications, you name it it is here.

MINUSES; On the downside of this book there are a lot of grammar mistakes but you can still figure it out. Oh and one other thing sometime in the middle he makes fun of americans being stupid i mean whats up with that. But other than that it is a must buy, now it is yours to enjoy

There was another reviewer who mentioned that this book isn't a bad primer for those who haven't actually researched any other planning. I agree, but with a caveat. Read the following sentence, and if it bothers you (as it does me) skip this book, and look elsewhere.
"This feature means than the vehicles can actually plan the part of an actual mobile, secure base of operations."
Errors and poor English pepper this book more often than the occasional useful tidbits (of which there are quite a bit). Assuming the above sentence doesn't drive you crazy, the book definitely brings up a lot of scenarios that the amateur planner may not have thought of, although the proposed actions and responses are (in my opinion) a bit short-sighted, unrealistic, and hopelessly optimistic in some, and outright dangerous and dumb in others.
By far, the most useful piece of this book is the table of contents, but is it worth the $2.99? Not sure. If a reader starts with the table of contents, and does the research to answer the proposed scenarios, you'll wind up with a hell of a plan, assuming you do the research, and it'll be worth the money.

This book isn't bad if you're just getting into learning about surviving a zombie outbreak. However, I don't recomend this book if you've already done other research and/or read other books... for the following reasons:
1. This book is written by British writers and it's directed more twards the British person/lifestyle/homestead. If you're American and just starting on you're preping for you're end of the world situation, this might be slightly confusing.
2. It's both poorly written and poorly edited. You would think for writters who come from the land the language was created in that there would be a better use of the English langage.
3. It's not bad if you're just starting out on learing how to prepare for the zombie apocalypse. It's also good for any crisis situation in terms of short term and long term planning as well as rebuilding operations. However, for those who have read other books already, this book should be skipped.
It gives some good ideas as far as planning, recon ops and teaming up w/ other survivers, but if you're CDO (OCD only alphabetised!) then the large amount of bad editing will drive you nuts!
Again, not bad if you're starting out and not an English major!

This is a truly realistic approach to a zombie apocalypse. The guide is very well thought out, apply's real life situations, employs real life tactics and even real life vitals as in thinking twice before trying and decapitating a zombie. This is a very fun and informative book, a fine addition to any horror lovers Zombie library.

This zombie survival guide is packed full of well researched information and yet is fun and easy to read as well. It covers everything from preparation for a apocalypse, to fighting zombies, surviving in an apocalyptic world and finally to rebuilding society.

The guide is crammed with detail but is not at all dry and is full of wit and humour. It can be read from cover to cover or can be dipped into as a source of reference as it is set out in chapters covering specific topics. Learn how to identify and fight different types of zombies, different types of survival tactics for different scenarios, choose weaponry and armour vehicles, defend your home and family and form a group of survivors. Apart from the zombie specific information, the information this guide contains is pertinent to many potential disaster or apocalyptical scenarios. Sure there are one or two typos but that doesn't detract from the excellent information and logical format. In my opinion it tops other guides that are currently available and is richly illustrated in pen and ink drawings and looks great.
