I have been using variants of Zondervan NIV software on a PC for many years. After looking at the different options for Mac, I bought this direct from Accordance. I am still getting used to the interface but the search is really powerful and fast running on a MacBook Pro. Lots of options on the way the resources are displayed and it has a very clear interface. Linking all the reference docs to the main text, navigating through the text and the search results is very intuitive and much better than the pc equivalent.
Because the version of Accordance on the CD is very old, Accordance recommend using a copy of their version 8 installer. I had issues with this but their technial support was excellent and soon got it up and running. There is a very extensive number of video tutorials on their web site and this is part of a very feature rich suite of products.The product really does work as fast as you see in the tutorials.
Upgrading to 9 would also enable this content to be available on mobile devices. Check out the Accordance web site and if this is the translation and group of reference material that meets your needs, buy it with confidence!

I installed this software on a new MacBook Pro. I am gradually changing over from Windows computers to Apple computers and wanted a Bible program to use on my Mac. The Accordance program is unmanageable, exceedingly slow and cannot compare to my Bible Soft program on my Windows computer. When I type in a reference search in Bible Soft, the references appear almost immediately. With Accordance, I waited and waited for something to happen. The demos on the internet make Accordance look very attractive but in actual use, it is very frustrating. I removed it from my Mac. For the time being, I will continue to use my Windows computer for writing my sermons because I need a good Bible program for inserting Scripture verses. Accordance is a nightmare to try to use.
