Zondervan has been particularly slow to get products into the information age, so it's nice to see this product at this price level. This comes powered by the Accordance Bible Study system, which is a nice plus.

The Accordance Bible Study system is a very good system; I think it is easier to use than the Logos Bible system and certainly stands above anything else that has been developed solely for the Mac. The system is designed for personal Bible study, but it can be easily expanded and adapted for use in group study, much like Logos. The texts are somewhat more expensive, but there is also a great deal more integration in Accordance than you see in Logos. The sentence diagramming and other language tools are very helpful, and the search system is very powerful and can help you gain insight.

i would not recommend this product as the first purchase, however. The TNIV translation is not without it's criticisms, but that's not the point. The package is simply too light for the beginner, and anyone with a more advanced pallate will want other translations and at least a Greek dictionary.

The Zondervan Essential Bible Study Suite, also offered here at Amazon, is a better choice as a first or only purchase. It contains the vastly popular NIV and KJV translations as well as Greek, Hebrew, and English dictionaries and concordances. The Essential package was roughly $20 more than this package, so it is not dramatically more expensive. I purchased both because I wanted some of the reference material this package has to offer.
