The site describes Bible as LEATHER BOUND when it is BONDED LEATHER. There is a big difference. Red letter is very light - should be called pink letter. Black print also light and hard to read. Print from back side of page shows thru.
NOT A BIBLE I WOULD RECOMMEND for a senior citizen or anyone who wants easy on the eyes reading.
The OLD Zondervan Study Bible, large print was easy to read.
Red print was red print. Black print was black. No shadow of back side of page showing thru. Find it!!

I've had this bible for several years. For me, the NIV makes it more readable and more easily understood. I can certainly understand some brothers and sisters who insist the KJV is the only way to go, but it can be hard reading. In addition, the study notes are great. It is a real blessing to be able to look on the same page and see the reference to background info, definitions, spiritual context, or the Jewish law or customs or any number of other study helps. There are a lot of cross references, maps, etc. I have not noticed that the red type is difficult to read and giving it one star for that is a little harsh. Thanks to all the fine people who put this together.

Perfect for adult bible study classes. Print is large enough to read without glasses. Thumb index allows easy to find books of the bible. Jesus'passages in red color. Study and discussion section for each verse. Wonderful study bible. I will give as gift to family members.

Wonderful Reerence Bible - lovely to read and easy to search for chapters and verse.
I only wish the print was blacker to make it easier to read.

This bible translation was done the right way, by a broad range of bible scholars from the earliest known writings. It has been said the scripture should be translated every 200 years in todays language. This translation has done it without bias from any source. I would highly recommend it.

I was looking for a new NIV study bible, since I bought my last one several years ago when me and my eyes were in our thirties.
I was a little daunted with the thickness, as I don't like toting around huge bibles, but it's comparable with other bibles, just a little thicker. Plus I will use this mostly at home.
I love the type, the layout, everything. I spent more for this than I would have for a Life Application Study Bible, which I could have gotten for a ridiculously low price, but I prefer the notes in this one. They're more objective and fact oriented compared with the Life App, which has more opinion oriented/preachy study notes. Excellent bible.

A good Bible, with a good, true translation - easy to understand. The print is a little larger and easier to read. I also like the little notches in the sides of the pages so that I can find the books more easily.

I bought this Bible for my son who is in his mid-forties and still doesn't want to wear reading glasses. I know he will love this print size. I bought this as a Christmas present and I will soon be buying one for myself. I have used the NIV Study Bible for many years now, but this beautiful leather Bible with the large print will make my Bible study much more enjoyable. I recommend this particular Bible very highly.

This Bible is the Best Bible I have ever used. It is concise and very helpful. The print is Large enough for those people with vision problems. It is indeed a Study Bible. You won't be sorry if you buy this Bible.
