Useless margins!,

The Bible would be outstanding if the margins were wider. However, not only are the margins far too narrow to add any personal notes . . . but the center margin (by the binder) is so narrow that it can make it tedious to read at times! Sadly, I would NOT recommend this to anyone. A person would be far better off getting the standard print edition.
The ZONDERVAN description was misleading because it stated that it had "wide" margins . . . which is completely false. Only their standard print edition has wide margins! When I called the company, I was informed that they were planning to change the description on their web site. Too bad, they would have been far better off changing the packaging of what would have been the best Study Bible available anywhere!

The content is obviously great, after all, the bible does contain our Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. :-) Seriously though, the large print is good for somebody in their 40's or older as you don't have to get your glasses out to follow along during church service. Also, there is great information at the bottom of the pages, giving you in-depth explanations or additional information about what you're reading. As other reviewers have said, it is heavy. I keep mine in a zippered bible cover with a handle to carry it to church. When I travel, such as when on mission trips, I carry a more compact bible that isn't a study bible, but this one is my favorite to study from at home.

This was bought as a gift for someone. They seem to be very pleased with it. It has lots of footnotes and study references. It's also VERY large and heavy, so it's a good idea to have a Bible cover to carry it. Great study Bible.
