The bible arrived quickly and was carefully packed so no damage at all. Although it's second hand, it looks new and was in perfect condition.

This Bible is the best one yet. It has notes at the bottom and an awesome concordance. It is easy to read and is used in so many Bible studies. The bind holds together very well. The leather used on this Bible held up on my last one from seven years ago. I was using my son's Bible and he just asked for it back so I had to purchase the exact Bible.

This bible is nice but I think it could be better in some ways. The paper is extremely thin and you can see through it to the words on the other side. The study guide notes are not the easiest to get to because when you want clarification on one thing you look for the note on it, then it directs you to another section of the bible. For me this does not work out very well because I am not familiar with the bible, it is my first time reading one so finding Genesis 9:26 while reading 49:1 or something is hard to bounce back and forth from. I also think that for some of the passages they could have written them better, they are written in terms that anyone can understand, but they also seem to take away from the full quality of reading the bible. I dont get this, yeah! Go God! feeling from it. It is a nice starter bible because it is an easy read, but shop around a bit and see if it's really the one for you. God bless!

This product is informative, but I would not recommend it for the following reasons:

1) The footnotes, which are central in a "study" Bible, offer little theological insight, meaning or message. They relay facts and context, but do not address the "so what?" other editions often do (e.g. NLT Study Bible).

2) In my opinion, the aesthetics are lacking. The leather is not as smooth or flexible as I had expected, and the internal layout is functional but bland (font, footnote/chapter layout, etc.).

3) When I ordered the "personal" size, I was hoping for something small enough to carry in my backpack or purse. While this Bible does fit in the average bag, it is quite thick and even heavier than some of my textbooks. This is something you would want to leave at home, not tote around.

Despite these aspects, Zondervan did a solid job with text size and provided thorough information in the concordance, scattered charts & figures, and introductory chapters to each book. It's a good resource, but not one that I would consider exceptional.

I needed to replace my old worn Bible and checked into ordering one from Amazon. Chose the vendor and the style I wanted, ordered it and in a few days it arrived. The cover is nice quality leather, pages are good white paper, making it easy to read the black contrasted letters on the pages. I am pleased with the selec5tion. The quality is very good, it arrived in a few days, well packaged and I would not hesitate to recommend this purchase! Flo Philips

I had one that my dad bought for me a while back. This commentaries are so helpful that I decided to get one for my fiancee. So helpful when trying to find if there are additional meanings behind the passages!

This was my first (and still most used) study Bible. I love the NIV translation. It makes sense and is very understandable. And if you want to delve deeper into the Word and learn more about what's going on as you read, this Bible is the perfect tool for you. I recommend any believer who is seeking to grow and get more out of their time in the Word to utilize Bibles with study notes. They will change your quiet times and preparations for teaching. This personal size in still quite thick, but it is about the size (length and width) of a thinline Bible. I love the size. I don't have anything bad to say about this Bible.

Good Study Bible for school because of the hardcover. I prefer my soft cover Bible for home and church use.

THIS IS A GOOD IN-BETWEEN BIBLE; I LIKE KING JAMES BUT THE LANGUAGE IS DATED...NIV IS EXCELLENT FOR READING ALOUD

My husband and I have used an NIV Study Bible for years, and we recently purchased this one for our son. The print is a little on the small side for Personal Size, but the black leather and gold edges are classically beautiful. The translation is one of the mostly widely used with helpful notes and illustrations throughout the book for deeper study and discussion. The red letter edition highlights Jesus' words. Our vendor had a very good price, so I don't think I could have done any better.
