I was really disappointed with this. It wasn't at all what the review said it was. There was only one book 'Genisis' and I was expecting the whole Bible. I did however like the fact that it wasn't being read to me, and the program did look like it would suit my needs. I'll keep looking for the right one.

Purchased this for my son who wanted a Bible software for his phone. Wasn't able to work on his phone and this version is unavailable in the format he needed. Don't think the company that made it even exists anymore, can't get an upgrade or exchange. Unfortunate...I thought i did my homework, apparently not enough.

this is for version 6.0
which is available new from a number of sources for under $20. do not buy it used here for almost $2000 from that one used seller. there are a number of used sellers that charge 100-1000 times as much for items than other sources. we are not talking rare or collectible, we are suspecting ripoff or scam with such a wide range of prices.

the zondervan niv study Bible v6 cdrom takes over my pc and i have to perform tricks to kill this program. this indicates non standard windows programming. there should be an x in the corner to kill a program. unacceptable.

i demand tht i be in control of my pc for security reasons so as to avoid scumware and other problems.

programs that are too fancy for their own good are not acceptable

i did not try to install further or to register the program
so
cannot say whether teh registration process screws with the registry or does even more unacceptable things to my pc

so also cannot say if there is copy protection or other annoying methods used with this product

also afraid that it may do things that interfere with other programs -- some microsoft security software killed other programs from running - nero and roxio trip over each others feet and will not coexist in my pc - not going to risk things like that again with this program.

a program needs to be installed simply and directly or i will not use it. ideally i could copy to a folder like in DOS but am willing to accept a standard windows installer, but not a custom one.

not sure but based on another review i wonder if they limit your usage until you do register. i do not want to give up any personal information to be able to use a product that i bought.

another fault is that this does not use the same approach as my other bible programs so i would have to run them separately. these guys need to get together and use the same system so we can integrate the data usage from the software products we buy.
