I was looking for a replacement for PowerBars (need more protein and less carbo now that I am getting older). These bars were very balanced and taste great. Even the wife (picky eater) started eating all these bars for breakfast so now I must order them in bunches.

These bars fit the 40/30/30 profile advocated by the Zone Diet. That means 40% carbs, 30% protein, 30% fat. Note: These are not low fat! However, they're pretty tasty, and I've gotten used to eating a strawberry yogurt bar every morning for breakfast. Much easier than a bowl of cereal or an egg sandwich. No dirty dishes! They're surprisingly filling too. They help keep my diet structured, and I don't feel deprived. Amazon subscriber's price is about the same cost per bar as Walmart where I live.

This is my favorite out of all of the zone bars. I enjoy the taste so much that I gladly eat one of these to tame my "snacking" urge as opposed to a candy bar, cookie, etc.
