I purchased this to replace two 8-port switches in our home server room (closet). It works as expected with little noticeable heat dissipation. No reason to buy a more expensive major brand switch.

Plugged it in and it works. It's lightweight plastic, but for those who need a bunch of ports on a budget and don't need gig-E, this is a fine little unit.
