Editorial Reviews

Review

ZOO IN THE ATTIC 'Irresistable fun, excellent writing.' -- JAN MARK, CAROUSEL THE TREASURE IN THE GARDEN 'a funny, intriguing story of children. Tony kenyon's illustrations enter into the spirit of it all.' -- CHURCH TIMES THE TREASURE IN THE GARDEN / THE ZOO IN THE ATTIC 'The events are entirely plausible, yet there is excitement in what happens because the children do not anticipate it. The characterisation is especially good. The children are well differentiated, and their parents too are individualised. -- JUNIOR BOOKSHELF THE EXILES 'an inventive romp from a writer with a sparky future.' -- THE BOOKSELLER THE EXILES 'This most engaging comedy of manners ... a delight.' -- TES Hilary McKay's strength lies in her understanding of young people and her ability to evoke them very simply.' -- THE GUARDIAN
