Great game, great add-ons
This is an excellent game for simulation play or for education. I let my 8 year old play to learn about animals and the importance of appropriate habitat so the animal is happy in it's environment.

Cool, but not as good as Zoo Tycoon 2
the only down side to this game is ... you can't go into "guest mode" ... whereas in Zoo Tycoon 2, you can hit guest mode and see how your zoo looks on that level ... I really miss that in this version ... it just feels like something is missing, so I don't play it as much. ;-)

my three kids are complete marine maniacs - they spent countless hours creating the perfect zoo, or recreating the local zoo.
safe, clean fun - and, best of all: mom gets to play too sometimes! for kids that love animals, it's the best mac software there is. my kids are between the ages of 6 and 12 - so it's suitable for kids reading age and up. younger kids could play as well, but will need a lot of help figuring out what the zookeepers are recommending to make the animals happier, so that could be frustrating for smaller ones. all in all - great game! now, if only they would create a farm tycoon - my kids have been bugging me for years about it...
