I love the Zoob product line and would highly recommend it in general, but unfortunately, the remote control car did not work for us. You have to build on the main piece, which was quite heavy, so if you built out from it, the main piece would sink to the floor, not allowing the wheels to turn. It was frustrating for my son. It also would not turn left or right. We decided to return it and purchase the non-remote controlled car designer instead. He's very happy with his "kid-powered" version.

We love Zoobs---I think have over 500 hundred of them and our boys (6 and 8) build everything imaginable with them. This toy seemed like a good idea...but it turned out to be a Christmas bust. The signal for the remote control is very weak and the child has to follow the toy around (staying about 1 foot away at all times) in order for it to work. It is finicky and seems to only work at random---not a great match for impatient little boys. Stick to the regular zoob sets---they are truly a wonderful toy and maintain the interest of children of all ages.

I had some problems getting the RC car to work but in the end it turned out it was interference from our baby monitor. When I had problems, the company was great about helping out and making sure I was satisfied- it was finally their idea to try turning off anything that might interfere.
Very satisfied with this toy- great idea too! |
