5.0 out of 5 stars Science that is fun!
The Zoology books are taught from an immersion approach. This means your child will be fully immersed in the study of land animals. This includes classification and binomial nomenclature (scientific names). The beginning of the book has a list of all items needed for each lesson. Be warned, science will quickly become your child's favorite class.

1.0 out of 5 stars Sadly Ignorant
There are so many ways to fit a belief in a higher power in with a true understanding of science. This book does not present any of them. It completly distorts truth and understanding and basic logic. Of all the books I have seen on integrating faith and science this is perhaps the worst and whats more is that it does it for children who are so impressionable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Science that is fun!, May 28, 2008
This review is from: Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (Young Explorer Series) (Hardcover)
The Zoology books are taught from an immersion approach. This means your child will be fully immersed in the study of land animals. This includes classification and binomial nomenclature (scientific names). The beginning of the book has a list of all items needed for each lesson. Be warned, science will quickly become your child's favorite class.

The books are well written and presented at a higher level than most elementary science books. Regardless, your child will still learn everything necessary, and have fun doing it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Isn't it difficult to review a book you haven't used?, May 28, 2008

Wow! I'm blown away by how obvious what "side of the camp" these negative reviews originate from. We LOVE Jeannie's Zoology books and this one delivers quality just as her others have. No one is going to "convert" an intelligent design believer into an evolutionist or vice versa here! Come on...is any parent who believes in evolution really even going to consider this book for their child? There are differing opinions and name-calling and put downs are not going to sway anyone to the opposite side. Parents who are looking to educate their children from this philosophy's view point will find these books a treasure! Anyone who will not consider the possibility of an intelligent designer will find them laughable. Is anyone really surprised by that?

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb book!, May 28, 2008

This review is from: Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (Young Explorer Series) (Hardcover)
Well, I will eat my shoe if several of the other "reviewers" of this book have actually purchased a copy. I happen to own this book and all of Mrs. Fulbright's other books. I also sell them in my educational bookstore.

The Zoology 3 book is by far Mrs. Fulbright's best book so far. It is VERY scientific, contrary to what others here have said. Frankly, it used many big words and perhaps that is what has caused their minds to be so confused. Anyway, this book, like the others continues to offer an easy conversational tone, excellent experiments and projects. The "Map It" and "Track It" activities are just too much fun!

I highly recommend this book to anyone out there wanting a meaty science curriculum for their children. You won't be disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Zoology by Jeannie Fulbrigh- Awesome books, May 28, 2008
This review is from: Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (Young Explorer Series) (Hardcover)
My kids and I have been using these books for 2 school years now and we are enoying them immensely. She teaches things plainly to their understanding, as well as, about the truth of the world's existence, GOD Created!
Thank you, Mrs. Fulbright for the labor that you have put into the work of these wonderful books. We love them.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Elementary Science, May 28, 2008
This review is from: Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (Young Explorer Series) (Hardcover)
As a homeschool family this book gives us the tools to teach in depth science to our elementary students. Our students love the added touch of geography in placing the animals on the map and the art of drawing their animal tracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exploring Creation, May 29, 2008
By
This review is from: Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (Young Explorer Series) (Hardcover)
This is a beautiful, informative, and scientifically accurate text. Creationists and Darwinists have the same info, it is just evaluated on the belief (or unbelief) in a Divine Creator. After all let's remember to evaluate science in a scientific manner. If a theory cannot be proven then it is still a theory (darwin evolution). I haven't yet heard about or seen, molecule to man evolution recreated in a lab as part of an experiment to prove it as fact. Let's all be respectful of other's opinions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Science the way it ought to be taught!!!, May 28, 2008
By
This review is from: Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (Young Explorer Series) (Hardcover)
This book is just great. It has the truth spelled out plain and simple. I love the fact that the author can use her scientific knowledge to stand up to the evolutionary rhetoric that many others spew out. My kids just want to keep reading this even when science is done for the day. Thanks so much for making this book available to us.

We have used these books for homeschooling science before. They are great. My two children love to do science and love animals, so these books have been perfect for us. We appreciate that it is written from a Christian point-of-view. This book is well organized and easy to use - for the students and their teacher. :-) This is not your average dry science book that turns children from science. I would recommend it to anyone and so would my children.

5.0 out of 5 stars a great indication of Fulbright's quality material, July 18, 2008
This review is from: Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (Young Explorer Series) (Hardcover)
We have already completed the other 4 Fulbright books and I think what you are about to read gives a far better review than I might muster. We received our Zoo 3 book yesterday. Let's just say, I didn't get past the bubble b4 dd8 took the book out of the box. Ds6 sat down next to her and they started. She put it down to go to the bathroom ds11 took it and tried to hide in his bed. Ds6 follows. In comes dd8. Ds11 reads aloud. I finally swipe the book to take to an appointment where ds12 reads over my shoulder. I come home ds11 takes the book again and he and ds6 forgo playing outside w. friends to read the book. I check in on ds11 at 9:30, an hour after his bedtime to find him with his reading light, reading the book. This morning, ds6 up first comes to me in bed at 6:30, "Momma, where's the science book?" He takes it from ds11's bed and starts looking. Ds11 (who slept in til 8:30 b/c he stayed up 'til about 10:30 reading said book) wakes up, not good morning mom, but, "Where's the science book? I left it on my bed." I just had to make him put it down so he could carry on with our last day of school (YIPEE!) So right, now ds12, ds6 and dd8 are on the couch, with the book. Dd10 says she'll just wait until they're all finished then she can sit down and enjoy it by herself (smart girl!)
If you're looking for quality that will encourage your children to love learning, this series is a sure bet. The material is well presented, easy and enjoyable to read and fosters a real love of science. I have read through almost all of the book and can't wait to complete the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great finale to the Zoology Series by Ms. Fulbright!, May 29, 2008
This review is from: Zoology 3: Land Animals of the Sixth Day (Young Explorer Series) (Hardcover)
Jeannie Fulbright has once again written a book that my children love. She uses a conversational method to teach science in a fun and engaging way. I also love the pronunciation guides for the scientific terminology in this book. And the pictures throughout the book are top-quality pictures. I am thankful to have creation-based science books to use with my children. Thank you!
