I think it depends on distance, great for small lightweight addition, we look across our small river for deer in the brush but, I think it depends how far you are trying to see.

There is a carrying case which has a loop to pass a belt through. There is also a strap that is designed for your wrist.

Carrying case, yes. Strap to wear around ones neck, not quite unless you've got a really small head.

I'm going to answer with no. I bought this for my archery range, to see where my arrows are hitting. At 18 meters (about 20 yards) the target is big enough, but as this item appears to be fixed focus (can't focus the lense) at 20 yards, everything is so blurry I have to stare for quite some time before I can see my arrows, and even then, it's iffy.
