5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!
I've never reviewed any item, but am so amazed by how well this product works with my vizsla that I simply had to write one! I've tried EVERY type of brush imaginable and had finally resigned myself to a lifetime of dog hair, as my dog has a single coat and very short hair that normal brushes just don't "grab". 3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not perfect
I've used this a couple of times on my dog that sheds a lot. It takes off a lot of hair but she still sheds a lot. But it doesn't seem to hurt her like other deshedding tool do.

Another friend with a vizsla recommended this product and I'm forever indebted! I've never seen so much hair come off of my dog...AND it doesn't hurt her skin. This is truly a great product for short-haired breeds, especially those with no undercoat.

We have 3 Vizslas and they absolutely love getting combed with the Zoom Groom. It collects their short lose hair they are shedding very well, although the loose hair needs to be gathered with your hand from the dogs coat after zoom grooming them -versus having it be collected in the brush. Great for short haired (single coat) dogs.

5.0 out of 5 stars incredible groomer!, November 2, 2008

Holy cow! You would never believe that something like this could get so much hair off a dog! If you have a short- to medium-coat dog (we have Labs), you need a Zoom Groom. The static it creates is what pulls the loose hair off, with no scratching of their skin or cutting the guard hairs like certain other grooming products do.

My only problem is that the boys think it's a toy, so I have to make sure it is out of their reach when not being used.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great brush for a Dalmatian!, May 3, 2009
By
This review is from: Zoom Groom For Dogs - Assorted Colors (Misc.)
My husband and I have a Dalmatian, which other owners will know can shed profusely at times. In packs, Dalmatians clean one another, and shedding isn't a problem, but on their own it can be a huge pain in the butt.
Our little guy has been leaving his fur on the furniture, in the carpet, and floating in the air since about 6 months old.
I've tried every kind of brush I could think of, even the very highly ranked Furminators, which only seemed to hurt his skin. The work great on dogs with longer hair, but Jack's coat is too fine and short for them. Then I saw a YouTube video of a guy brushing his Dalmatian with one of these Zoom Groom brushes, so I went out and got one.
Best 8 bucks I've ever spent on Jack. It pulls out all the loose hair without hurting his skin. Even better, he actually likes it!
Definitely a great brush for a short haired dog. I use it on our cat, too, and he also seems to enjoy it.

I almost bought a Furminator- I have a cat, a dog, and a living room full of fur. After reading those reviews, I decided any product with enough 'you're using it wrong' stories and the words 'hurting' and 'pulling out' probably wasn't for me. Enter the Zoom Groom. I can not believe how much fur this collects, how much my animals love it, or how much less expensive it was than the (somewhat scary) Furminator.

You basically just ruffle your pet's fur with this in your hand, then brush it back down again. Then peel all of the hair out of the rubber spokey things. Repeat. They are softer than your fingers, so no chance of hurting them. None... & NO CHANCE of pulling out their healthy hair.

My only "problem" with this is that my dog and cat get super jealous when the other one is getting "zoomed" because they don't want their own zoom time to end. Also, don't use it under a ceiling fan (silly me).

Perfect for older pets who have achy bones- Perfect for my snobby siamese cat and my aussie-shepherd/yellow lab mix. Perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best brush ever!!!, August 5, 2008
This review is from: Zoom Groom For Dogs - Assorted Colors (Misc.)
We have a Shiba Inu, a Chihuhua-Boston Terrier Mix and a tabby cat. None of them like getting brushed, but when we bought this, they will actually sit still. I was shocked at how much hair came out of these little dogs! I absolutely LOVE this brush!!

This gets an amazing amount of loose hair from pets with little effort. The dog and cats love it; it must feel like a massage. Great price and ships quickly. Not sure if pets with long hair would enjoy it as much, though, since it probably pulls a little.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best grooming tool I've found, June 26, 2008

We have a Husky\German Shepherd mix that has a VERY dense undercoat. My fiance had apparently bought the Zoom Groom as a toy for our Daschund\Terrier, not realizing it's actually a brush. I happened upon it while spring cleaning and decided to give it a shot.

Lola had just been brushed that morning with a rake and bristle brush, so I wasn't expecting much. I should've known better, being a Kong product. After 15 minutes I had another plastic bag full of fur. I couldn't believe it - with the first swipe the fur was just flyin'. The only down-side is what to do with the fur - it kind of sticks to the rubber, so you have to get a good technique goin' - I've found the proper brush-stroke leaves it sitting on top of her fur. The nature of a rubber brush, I s'pose.

I was so thrilled with the brush I called my mom to tell her to buy one for her Border Collie\Husky mix. For dogs with a thick undercoat, it's perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars My dog loves this thing!, May 20, 2008
This review is from: Zoom Groom For Dogs - Assorted Colors (Misc.)
My Greyhound loves to be groomed with the Zoom Groom! She sees it and comes RUNNING. It takes off lots of hair, and is easy to clean. Makes shampooing easier, too - really gets the shampoo deep into the coat, and cleans the skin.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Longhaired Dachshund with sensitive skin LOVES this!!, July 18, 2011

My miniature longhaired dachshund has sensitive skin and does not like being groomed with regular grooming tools. I used the zoom groom on her and she stood there and let me do it. She even had that happy look on her face and seemed to enjoy it.

Normally I can do anything with this dog as she trusts me more than other folks. Anything except groom her with a regular grooming tool. The soft rubber knobs on this brush are what does the trick.

Do not expect this tool to get a bunch of hair in one sitting. I do not think any of the what I call easy on the skin tools will. I do believe this one gets more at one sitting than the others. This is a tool that you will have to work with every few days to eventually get all the shedding hair. If your dog does not have sensitive skin and you want to get all of the hair in just a few sittings then you need to get a different tool.

For the fact that my dog loved it so and hates other tools I'm am using her opinion and giving it five stars LOL.
