After buying the Video Camera I desided to by this needed accessory kit. I got it for the ac adapter and the carring case. The whole kit seems really cheap and not well made.
I had to return the whole thing do to 2 broken zippers on the carring case. also it seems just a bit to snug for the camera, you will always struggle to get it in right and zipping it also is a fight.

Why the **** are CRUCIAL items like the AC adapter part of an add-on "accessory" package??? I could care less about the silly tripod and component cable, but the mini HDMI and the power cable are CRITICAL to the functionaity of the camera!! That is the only thing that I didn't like about my Zoom Q3HD.

I purchased a 16GB SD card and tripod last weekend in order to record my band performing at an outdoor gig, and I suspect that the batteries that I had in there were "flaky" at best, because the camera would shut off after 20 minutes, leaving a corrupted file on the SD card. An AC adaptor would have solved that problem right away.

Needless to say, my band and I were not happy, since it was a very good show and I bought the camera specifically for us to review our gigs and critique ourselves.

I usually write very long-winded reviews, but I am going to keep this one very short. This is an accessory pack in name only! First off, I agree with all the reviewers who are lambasting this lame pack, NOT because I have anything against accessory packs, but because Sampson pulled a fast one on its customers by NOT including an AC adapter with the Zoom Q3HD and forcing people to buy an adapter.

Newsflash: The vast majority of electronic devices should always come with an AC adapter. It is flagrantly stupid and irresponsible to FORCE your customers to buy into a padded accessories pack to get an adapter. I absolutely can understand why an HDMI cable would be something you need to purchase separately, but an AC adapter? If you look at this absurdly flimsy accessory pack you will realize that the ONLY things of value in it are the AC adapter and an HDMI cable probably of the same quality as one you can buy for three dollars off Amazon or aBay. Honestly, I am completely prepared to accept that all popular electronic devices have a plethora of pointless accessory packs that are more cutesy and are nothing but traps for impulse buyers who pick them up in a wave of excitement when they purchase the actual device. Hell, I bought such a useless pack for my HTC Android phone as well, and ended up rolling my eyes at my own stupidity when I received it. But that's on me. HTC didn't FORCE me to buy some moronic packet of junky trinkets in order to wade through the garbage to get my AC adapter.

And that, right there, is the difference!

P.S. Why do I have to even give this crap-pack ONE star? Amazon needs to allow a zero star rating.

Not at all happy with the Q3HD Accessory Pack - the case is completely useless; way too small. I've already busted the zipper trying to cram the Q3HD in there. The only useful items in this pack are the AC adapter (which feels cheap and flimsy), the mini HDMI cable, and the foam windscreen.

Save your money, skip this lame accessory pack and get these instead:

A/C Adapter: Zoom AD14 Power Supply for Q3, H4N and R16

Video Case with room to spare: Lowepro Edit 130 Video Bag (Bordeaux Red)

You can find better quality versions of the other things you might need as well.

This kit is a fairly-priced option to you going out and buying each item individually. It isn't cheaper, but it is more convenient.

Everything works properly, though it does not exude the look and feel of high quality.

I went right out and bought a sleek "camera bag"-type case to contain, store, protect, and transport it all. Glad I did.

One issue is that the Q3HD case (which fits perfectly and does exactly what it is supposed to do) has 2 elastic straps sewn into it (one on each side). Their goal is to keep the case from flopping wide open when you unzip it. They work properly, but they easily get caught in the zipper when you seal the case up. When that happens, it presents a major hassle when trying to open the case back up. I work around this issue by being VERY mindful of it and pulling the zip way out (away from the case)as I zip by the elastic straps. Perhaps a very wide elastic band, like a shoe gore, might resolve this issue. Until it does, just zip carefully and you'll be happy.

The carrying case is useless, since the Zoom Q3HD doesn’t fit into it. That’s right, the camera for which this carrying case was supposedly designed doesn’t fit. Kudos to the design team. Further, you can’t put anything else in the carrying case, so you’ll still need a carrying case to hold the camera and its accessories. I use an old binocular case that has enough room for the camera (wrapped in a small hand towel for protection), AC adapter, and instruction manual. The tripod is rickety and useful only on a tabletop—you’re far better off with a full-sized tripod. The only essential item in this package is the AC adapter. You can get that separately at a lower price: Zoom AD14 Power Supply for Q3, H4N and R16. If you want a cable to run from the Q3HD to a television, you can also find that separately.

I don't know what everybody is whining about. Yes, the power supply should have been included with the camcorder, but since it wasn't, the price of this kit is not all that much different than you'd pay for a power supply alone. I had no problerm with the camera case. The camera fits into it easily and the zippers work fine. The cables are good to have as is the tripod and wind screen and it all fits nicely into that little box. You can safely carry all that stuff around in your pockets without being bulky, and be ready for whatever video moments might occur. before I got the kit, I was carrying the camera around in my pocket and the view screen got a slight scratch on it. Now I'm glad I have the camera case.

I bought the Zoom Q2HD recorder, and I saw this accessory package advertised along side. I use the case, the tripod, and the AC adapter every time I film something! I am likely to record outside at some point, so the wind guard will come in handy, as well as the chord to hook up to a TV. This is a must-have package in order to make the camcorder super convenient and easy to use!!

This is a good offer for a Zoom user, but unfortunately the adapter included does not work on the Zoom Q3 (5V vs 4.5V). The heading (Zoom Q3HD Video Recorder Accessory Package for Zoom Q3HD, Zoom Q3)and the description is misleading and I will appreciate if I could exchange the adapter for the correct one.
