Product Description
42 rugged plastic pieces snap together easily to form endless poseable creatures. In this set you can make a Cat, Fruit Bat, Lantern Fish, Desert Lizard, Snake, and Firefly or morph them to make all sorts of fantasy creatures. Some have hinged jaws. Some pieces glow in the dark. Collect the other sets to build even more creatures.

My daughter received a set of NightMorphs from a friend two Christmases ago, when she was four years old. They were the absolute hit of that holiday. All other toys were forgotten as she (and Mom and Dad!) churned out one creation after another. Now, as she prepares to turn six, she is just as entertained by her "freaky animal set" as she was on day one. At first glance, some parents might think that this is a "boy toy", since the animals in this selection have a somewhat creepy feel to them. Not true! NightMorphs are flat-out fascinating for boys and girls alike.
A couple of notes on the product itself: Although the photo shows five animals, there are actually several more random pieces thrown into this set--extra tails, legs, and bodies that don't add up to a specific animal, but greatly increase the number of bizarre combinations possible. Not every piece glows in the dark, but we have had fun discovering those that do. Mostly, though, we enjoy building our creatures in regular daylight anyway. The pieces, once popped into place, are easy to pull out again but stay put fairly well in the meantime. My child can generally put her creations together herself, but there are just a few stubborn spots where she has to ask for help. Overall, this is one of our favorite toys. Maybe it's best to hear it straight from the kid: "I like NightMorphs so much, they're so great, I can't wait to get more!" We definitely recommend all of the ZooMorphs toys!

I have a 2 and 3 yo and while they love playing with the pieces, they have much difficulty in putting most of the pieces together. Some of the holes hurt even my fingers to push them in, and I have relatively strong hands for a lady. This being said, their eyes always light up and extreme excitement ensues whenever they see mommy bringing the bag of "aminals" I keep these sets in out for play. This is definitely adult interaction required toy at this age, and I bought it hoping for quiet mommy time while the kids played. Also, I keep finding pieces all over the house even though I sit with them during play. They must smuggle them while I'm not looking :).
I would like to note that my set was missing 3 pieces and had various unidentifiable pieces when it arrived, but the seller was very kind and sent me those missing pieces with out hassling me to send back the extra unidentified parts I received. Good customer service is so hard to find and isn't it sad when an online company can do it cheaper and with a better smile than your local store cares to do. I sincerely look forward to the creative play years where I'm going to get attacked by a crocosharzebrafly! :)
