This stroller is simply AMAZING!! Because of all the features, this is truly a stroller that can take you through newborn up to toddler years. I've had six children and I wish that I would've had a Zooper before because I love it!

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointed
I purchased a Zooper stroller after looking at many better known brands. Zooper comes with a lot of included "extras" - better canopies, rain covers, sleeping bag attachment, it stands when collapsed, it's fully reclining, etc. However, the Zooper is rather poorly made. The second time I ever used it, the canopy piece totally came apart, and screws and other little...

5.0 out of 5 stars Zooper Twist 2010, February 21, 2010
This stroller is simply AMAZING!! Because of all the features, this is truly a stroller that can take you through newborn up to toddler years. I've had six children and I wish that I would've had a Zooper before because I love it!
For anyone wondering could this stroller work for a newborn, YES YES! The back of the seat reclines so much that it is a near flat position. There also is a safety net at the headrest I suppose to keep any baby from wiggling out in that direction. The shoulder straps (which have reflective piping)can be altered to accommodate an infant, not to mention that there are soft shoulder strap pads to protect baby. The seat is not only extremely padded, but there is also an infant insert to make it more comfortable (did I mention premium quality and plushness?). Granted, that when the seat is in a full recline the storage underneath becomes difficult to get to, but what stroller isn't that way? All the features that you do get are well worth the compromise and the stroller is sturdy enough that you can drape bags on the handles without it tipping over. Once your baby starts to sit up you can have more access to the storage anyway! What also makes it nice for a newborn baby is there is a leg rest at the end of the seat you can adjust to flip it up to extend the seat to become more flat.
One of the features that sold me on the Zooper brand was the fact that the sunshade fully extends to where it's like a pod for the baby. What you cannot see in all the pictures is the zipper located on the back top part of the shade which unzips another segment of fabric (kind of like a leaf of a table). This feature is wonderful for a sleeping baby not to mention when you're out in the sun! This is a wonderful feature not found on any other stroller and I love that it is on this umbrella stroller! It really came in handy last Fourth of July when we attended the parade. I loved sporting my baby around in the shade (nobody else had anything like it!). There is even a detachable drink holder and a huge pocket on the back of the sunshade that you could put a magazine, book, cell phone, keys, extra diaper, portable case of wipes, camera, camcorder, etc. in as well. Oh, if anyone is wondering how the baby can see out when the sunshade is extended, there is a flap of fabric you fold back so baby can see.
When the weather is not so fabulous, you can rest assured that you already have everything you need. The sun/bug net and the rain shield fit on quick and easy. They are stored in their own pouch with wrist wrap. During the cold months, the sleeping bag zips on and protects baby from exposure. There is enough room to bundle baby up with more blankets inside if need be. The same amazing fabric and attention to detail is given to the sleeping bag as the rest of the stroller.
The handling of the stroller is easy. I'm 5'1 and can easily push this as can my 6'2 husband. I don't and he doesn't have a problem with the stride and hitting the back lower area of the stroller. The grips on the handles are comfortably cushioned and I can push it with one hand if I have the baby in my arms. I can also undo the stroller one handed. It doesn't take up alot of room in my Excursion at all, nor would I find it to in any vehicle since it is an umbrella stroller.
I really cannot wait until my little girl is older so she can test out the weight limit which is another perk (55 lbs). I can see how with this stroller it will accommodate a tall child since the body of the seat is long and the shade doesn't rest right on top of the child's head. In fact, if your child is so tall and you wanted to remove the sunshade from the frame and simply have the seat, you can even do that.
My baby is now 13 months and we've had our Zooper for about 8 months. I've enjoyed using it each and every time. It's made my life easier knowing that whatever the weather is going to do, I'm prepared (unlike many strollers). I'm glad I chose the Twist model because of it's compactness in comparison to their other models. If you feel you might miss having a tray in the front, just attach a drink strap so it won't crash to the ground (that's all they enjoy doing anyways is watching it fall!) There also is a grip on the outside of the frame to carry the stroller when folded. I'm sure for someone who wanted to carry it over their back, they could just buy a luggage strap and attach it to the frame.
In summary, Zooper is well worth the price! Don't turn your head because of the price as you have to factor all the accessories which are included. This is going to be the only stroller you need (unless you plan on going through some really rugged terrain). You won't be disappointed. With the suspension on all the wheels and all the bells and whistles of this stroller, your baby will be riding in comfort whether on vacation or simply around town! Two thumbs up for Zooper!

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT! Zooper Twist BU822B, October 6, 2009
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
UPDATE: If you run into problems with your wheels being stiff and not turning very nicely - Zooper recommended that we use a silicon lubricant on the wheels. We did and now the wheels are back to turning like they should.

We have a Zooper Waltz from a few years back and love it, so we took a chance on the Twist, despite the huge lack of reviews, when we needed a smaller, umbrella type stroller. I am so glad we did! For less than the really spendy Maclaren, it has all the features I want, and an important one that the Maclarens don't offer - a huge canopy that actually gives shade with the sun at any angle.
Features:
An adjustable footrest - my baby is 8 months old so I wanted some support for her legs.
A huge canopy - you can pull it as far forward as you want (it doesn't pull as far when the seat is fully reclined for obvious reasons), and an extra section that zips out to make it even bigger (the canopy can touch the child's legs). I will try to put some pictures up of this.
Reclining seat - one hand operation and goes nearly flat (as flat as any "flat" reclining stroller).
Soft plush seat with removeable washable cover.
All wheel suspension - at first this made the stroller not seem as sturdy, since there is movement when you wiggle the stroller. I think it is just the give in the wheels from the shocks. The frame seems very sturdy, as with our other Zooper stroller. This is one of the main reasons we went for the Zooper - they really seem well built and like they'll last a long time. Our other one has put up with lots of abuse.
Basket underneath - similar to most umbrella strollers. The mesh part of the basket doesn't go all the way up the back, which I thought was kind of strange, but I guess they figure all the parts of the frame at the back will hold your things in place. I think it will work just fine.
Lightweight - definitely easy to carry around, which is what we were wanting it for - traveling and getting on and off buses/public transit.
Folds pretty easily - you have to bend over and undo two things at the back of the stroller, then it just folds right up.
Easy to steer.
Tall handles, and a tall seat back, weight limit up to 55 pounds.
Comes with rain cover, uv cover, head support thingy and strap covers, cold weather sleeping bag, and cupholder that clips onto the frame.
Seems like a great all around stroller - the small umbrella size but lots of features and comfy for the kids.

We haven't had the stroller very long so I'll update if I run into any problems with it, and I'll try my bigger kids in it, too. Just wanted to get a review up since I had such a hard time finding any info on this stroller.

4.0 out of 5 stars A true story about a nice stroller and excellent customer service, March 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
There are so many different types of strollers available on the market and it can be very difficult to choose "the one". I hope that our story can help parents in their decision making process who may share similar needs.

Background: We had gotten rid of our car shortly after moving to Boston (before our little one came along), so a stroller immediately became an integral component in our lives. We had started off with a Graco stroller that came with a large basket underneath the seat, which was frequently filled with items from a nearby grocery store. We enjoy walking around everywhere and consequently had placed various strains and serious mileage on the old stroller. Alas! During a casual stroll on one snowy evening, the metal shaft holding one of the front wheels broke into two pieces. After MacGyver-ishly "fixing" the broken shaft with whatever I could find in the toolbox, I immediately began searching the web for a new stroller.

Selection process: In addition to the crippled Graco, we had a very basic and rather flimsy umbrella stroller which we used exclusively for flying. We had decided that the new stroller should be as light and compact as possible when folded, but sturdy enough to withstand our rigorous demands. We had spent relatively little money on the Graco and often felt that the stroller was one baby item that we should have spent a bit more for better quality. I searched numerous sites and read countless reviews on strollers around and under the two hundred dollar range. There were not very many reviews on Zooper's Twist available on the web, but the few that I had encountered were all very positive. Besides meeting our own basic criteria, we became sold on the extending canopy, fully reclining seat (for a future littler one), and the accompanying accessories.

First impressions: We received the Twist within two days from Amazon. All the components within the box appeared to be well packaged. We were immediately thrilled to see the great colors: the beige canopy, chocolate seat, and matted gray frame. The instructions were straightforward and the assembled stroller was eye candy. Our two year old immediately sat in the seat and she appeared to be very comfortable with plenty of additional space all around. We were blown away by the canopy, as it extended all the way down to to the seat with options to open it from the top. The wheels rolled smoothly and it was easy to steer with one hand. Folding was a piece of cake which both my wife and I could collapse using one hand, and the handle on the side made carrying around the light-weight unit effortless.

Unfortunate snags: The story was not entirely happy. We were very disappointed to notice that one of the plastic clips necessary to secure the canopy to the frame was broken. The canopy remained fully function, but one of the sides could disengage from the frame when pulled upon. Under normal circumstances we would simply return the unit to Amazon for a quick replacement. However, the gimpy Graco was barely hanging on so we needed an immediate replacement. I contacted Zooper on the phone and explained the situation. The CSR was very understanding and asked me to email them a picture of the broken clip. They immediately placed an order for a replacement canopy and advised us to use the damaged one in the mean time since it was snowing in Boston. Shortly after resolving this issue, we noticed a bluish patch on the rain cover. So I emailed them again with a picture and they immediately informed me that they would include a replacement cover in the shipment along with the new canopy. It took a week for the replacement items to arrive from Oregon. We were very satisfied with Zooper's response to the situation, and while slightly defective, we ended up with an additional set of canopy and rain covers as back ups.

Impressions after two months: We have used the Twist daily since, including days of heavy rain and snow storms, and we are generally happy with the product. We did not give five stars due to some minor issues. The small wheels do not perform very well in the snow, but this was to be expected. We no longer have the use of the stroller for transporting large amounts of groceries, but again, this was to be expected. We have adjusted accordingly and find the stroller to be a good replacement of the Graco. One odd feature in the design is how the rear brake cable snuggles into the plastic casing. We have found that when the stroller is folded with the brakes on the cable can come out of the casing. This is not a big deal as it is easy to place it back in. However, we do find this annoying and often leaves us not using the brakes when folding the stroller. I am 5'9" and sometimes I find the tips of my feet brushing up on the back wheels when walking at a good pace. My wife is shorter than myself and found the handle bars a little uncomfortable to use. However, we have adjusted to the new stroller nicely and we are happy with the product.

Recommendation: This stroller is a complete package for those on the go. While we wish that there was more space for transporting groceries, the great features (and there are plenty I assure you) far outweigh the small issues. My wife, the little one, and I fully recommend the product to those that share similar needs.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Cadillac of Strollers!!, January 20, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
The Zooper twist in coconut far exceeded my expectations! We have a 21 month old who is in the 95th percentile in height(36 in) and weight(33.5 lbs)...and has out grown two of his lightweight strollers. I was looking for something with a wider seat, taller headrest and taller handles for our pushing comfort(I'm 5'6 and my husband is 6'4'') ...and this zooper has all three. Our son fit comfortably in the seat with probably 2 1/2 inches still remaining on each side and had room to grow with the headrest. We were also beyond impressed with all the bells and whistles that came with the stroller. You get a sleeping bag that snaps on for cold temps and a rain cover for bad weather. Those items are usually things you have to buy extra totaling as much as $50, so it was a nice bonus. Plus the canopy litterally covers the whole stroller when fully extended...I've never seen anything like it. A flap folds down so he can see out, which he turned into a peek-a-boo game! It folds up fairly compact for all that it has to offer, at least way smaller than our travel system stroller that practically took up the whole trunk. The frame of the stroller seems very strong and durable and the fabric is a great color and qaulity as well. My husband said he had never seen anything like it...that it's the Cadillac of strollers! Great purchase...we love it!

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall very nice, jjust a few negatives, August 24, 2010

I normally don't do reviews, but wanted to put mine out there since when I was researching umbrella strollers, there weren't many for the Zooper Twist 2010. Overall, I'm pleased with the stroller. My 5 month old son LOVES it! He is big for his age (18 lbs) and he has plenty of room to grow. He loves to sit in it and often naps in it as well. The seat is padded and seems very comfortable.

The sunshade is great, MUCH larger than most umberella strollers! The adjustable leg rest is very nice especially if you are using this for an infant. The handles are also higher than most, but my feet still occasionaly hit the wheels and my husband, who is 6'5" complains of this, but I think that would be the case with any other stroller. The recline is really nice... it can be put both down and up with one hand and is very easy. The full recline is almost flat and works well for changing diapers as well.

I find that you can't push this stroller with one hand although some people above disagree with this... when using one hand, the stroller does not maneuver easily at all. Also, our rear brakes seem to always be disconnected when opening and closing. However, this is an easy fix, so it really doesn't bother me much.

I was able to close the stroller one handed and I don't think I could open it one handed. Either way, it is a very easy open/close, you just can't seem to open it one handed.

I do love the Zooper Twist, I just wish I owned a Maclaren for one day in order to compare!!

5.0 out of 5 stars So glad we gave this a try! Excellent stroller., September 21, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This stroller performs so well, we just love it. We nearly bought a Maclaren and I am glad we chose this instead. This is an excellent value stroller and comes with various accessories that are so great--foot muff for cold weather, rain cover, sun cover, has a bag hanging int he back as well as a basket in the bottom. Love the various recline positions, including full recline. The sun cover is phenomenal. We have checked this stroller on 4 flights now and used it overseas on cobblestone and uneven surfaces, on the beach in the Caribbean, and around town at home. I can't be more pleased. Our son seems very comfortable in it. The foot rest part that can be extended up is sturdy and seems better quality than the Maclaren. Lots of practical design features and it drives great. I can't recommend it enough.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good stroller, March 25, 2011
After searching for a stroller for over a month, we finally decided on the Olive Twist for our 13 month old. Overall, we are pleased with our purchase. The features we love are the large canopy, the ability to unzip part of the canopy so fresh air can flow through, living in hot Florida, this was a big selling point. The seat also seems comfortable and it reclines pretty far back. My daughter, who is a light sleeper, usually falls asleep in this stroller, which is saying a lot for the comfort. We also like that it is easy to steer and seems sturdy. There are a few cons however including: it weighs a little more then expected. I am fine lifting it in and out of our van, but if I had to carry it up and down stairs, it would be a chore. Also, the storage compartment at the bottom is not very deep and it is hard to access because of a bar that runs across the back. For a small bag it is fine though, plus the handles consist of two separate bars as opposed to a single bar so you can just hang your purse on one the handles and it doesn't seem to bother the steering at all. Lastly, the compartment or storage bag attached to the back canopy part of the stroller is not secure. If you have the canopy zipped up it is fine, but if you unzip the canopy the items in the compartment can fall out. However, we plan on adding a piece of velcro to the pockets which should solve the issue. As far as opening the stroller, on a scale of one to ten (ten being the easiest to open) I say it is about a six, it may become easier after we have loosened it up a little. However, to close, it is about a nine, really one simple move and it is closed. Overall, we are very happy with our purchase. Most of all, our daughter seems comfortable, cool, safe, and protected from the sun. I do recommend this stroller.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thrilled with this stroller!!!, May 3, 2010

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
After viewing and reviewing many, many strollers, I finally narrowed my search down to the Chicco Liteway and the Maclaren Quest. While doing a final review, I came across the Zooper Twist on the bottom of the Amazon page. Curious, I clicked on it, and have never been more in awe of a stroller. I LOVE this stroller. I tested the Maclaren Quest at BRU and liked everything but the small canopy. When i saw the canopy on the Twist, i knew that this was the one. The canopy is HUGE. It will almost completely cover my son. The steering is wonderful. I have been able to easily steer it with one hand, while drinking a cup of coffee in the other. Though I haven't had a chance to use them, the accessories look wonderful. I was afraid it may be soon for my son to use the Twist, but we use it with no problem. My son is 5 months and of average weight. He is very secure in the five point harness and has no problem falling asleep in the stroller. It seems a bit bigger than the Maclaren, but is still very lightweight. The Twist is easy for me to put up and fold down with no problem. I am 5'7 and weigh 125 lbs and am able to fold it up and throw it in the back of my SUV with one arm. I love it so much that I won't let my husband touch it! I highly recommend this stroller to anyone looking for a lightweight stroller with a lot of perks. I feel that it was worth every penny!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great stroller !, April 19, 2010
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I am very happy with this purchase, at first I was very skeptical using this for a newborn, because it is not a full recline, but I purchased it anyway because the product specifications says it's suitable, and after reading reviews about someone using it for their newborn, then I decided to buy. After I placed my 1 month, he was very comfortable plus the harness seems very secure, since he is so small I was able to wrap it around his blanket. The stroller is very light and easy to carry up the stairs with the baby in it, ( I live in a 3 story walk up) it's also easy to maneuver, especially around tight isle spaces. I would highly recommend it. I only wished it had a peak-a- boo window on the canopy, like some strollers do. but it does have a removable cover in the back, with a mesh netting which you can easily remove, and be able to look at your baby .

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall good except maneuverability, November 30, 2010
By
Judy L. (Seattle, WA) - See all my reviews
Like everyone else, I was overwhelmed with the choices in strollers. I ended up choosing the Zooper Twist because I wanted something a little better than a simple umbrella stroller but not so big and heavy as a full size one. I chose this model because of its features and styling (I chose Olive which is a really pretty green) and the good reviews here. I am generally happy with the stroller except for a few things, which I think are important issues and responsible for the 3 star rating.

CONS
-Maneuverability: I find that once my child is in the stroller, along with a diaper bag strapped to the handles, it does not maneuver well and I find myself bumping into things in tight spaces like inside of stores. It lumbers and tends to favor one side (not due to uneven weight distribution). It's pretty impossible to maneuver the stroller one handed although I'm not sure if one can with any lightweight stroller.
-Walking: I am only 5'3" and I occasionally kick the wheels while pushing the stroller. Because of this, I tend to hunch more than I should while using it to keep it away from me. The handles seem tall enough though so I think it might be the distance of the rear wheels that's the issue.
-The storage space beneath is ok- not awful but not that great either.

PROS
-Relatively lightweight and compact for storing in the car trunk.
-Generally easy to fold and open.
-Sunshade! That was what really won me over for the purchase and my favorite feature. It is HUGE and there's lots of ways to use it.
-Nicely padded seats and comfortable seat belts.
-Fully reclines so my child can sleep in it (with the nice sunshade pulled down) or you can change a diaper (haven't had to try that yet but I'm sure you could).
-Extras like the rain cover and sleeping bag.
-Stays up even with a diaper bag attached to it (and even other items like purchases).
-Really nice styling and variety of colors (not a fan of all the orange, black or red strollers out there).

Overall, it's a really nice looking stroller that I am generally happy with although I'm not sure I'd purchase again. This is my first stroller so I don't have others to compare to (I have used one of the MacClaren umbrella stroller models which pushed and maneuvered like a dream but it didn't have any of the features I wanted). I think the sunshade is such a huge plus that I'll continue to use this stroller for a while. My child can be out in the rain or sun and be fine in it. I might think about switching up models later though I don't think many strollers have all the features of this one and still be lightweight.

*Just a side note, I ordered this through my credit card rewards program but it was fulfilled by Amazon.com.

EDIT: I bumped up the stars to 4. I ended up putting the liquid silicone product that another reviewer suggested in the wheel wells and it made a huge difference in the maneuverability.
