This thing ranks #9 in most video card charts as of today and is a fantastic budget card for those that would like to stick with Nvidia and need to upgrade from a 4 or 5 series card. It has more than enough memory for taxing games and runs pretty cool with it's stock reference blower. The blower does get a bit loud as most stock blowers do when you're playing more intensive games, but is inaudible otherwise.

For those of you that will most likely ask, yes there is some coil whine on older games that don't support v-sync or when your frame rate is at 1600fps in some odd menu in an older game. Coil whine isn't present doing much of anything else that I noticed. This is pretty typical of your 6 and 7 series cards though, so don't be freaked out. Even the higher end cards will whine.

I've had this card for half a year now, and it's been crushing all the games i've thrown at it on max settings. My processor is an Intel i5-3470 and it's working very well.

First off, I bought this card to replace an HD 5770 which just wasn't cutting it running new games on max settings with playable fps. I had to go with this card instead of an R9 280x because just before I bought it, my motherboard failed and I had some budget problems. It is not as fast as a 280x, of course, but it is over $100 cheaper and better than the R9 270x AND it came with Assassins Creed Black Flag and Splinter Cell blacklist (holiday Bundle on newegg), which this card easily handles on max settings, in fact, every game I have runs like butter.

Battlefield 4 on max settings 1080p? 80fps average. Crysis 3 on max settings? 50 FPS on average. Metro Last Light on max settings? 60 fps on average. Rome 2 on Max settings gets in the 60fps Range, even with 10,000+ troops smashed together in the center of the battlefield. This card does a very good job on brand new games and I expect it to do a very good job on new games for the next few years, which by then I will have 2 of these.

Also, shadowplay makes it a lot easier for me to stream on twitch AND I can record gameplay footage with almost no performance impact and 30 minutes of 1080p gameplay was only 3.8 GB, that is a LOT better than fraps which is almost 1GB a minute. That's awesome for a mid range card.

Cons, this card gets hot, like 70 degrees hot under full load and the fan runs kind of high, but it isn't very noticeable to me as I usually wear noise cancelling headphones. The card is also kind of big so I had to rearrange a couple drive bays, but that was expected.

Other than that, this in not a GTX 780 or an R9 290x, just don't expect to be absolutely blown away with 200 FPS on Battlefield, though it does hit 130 FPS sometimes lol.
