Don't mess with me...Zulu Death Mask and Me...I love this CD! Go out and buy it now!!, I command you. All of Deadbolt's CDs are perfect Soundtracks for: Driving thru the desert going to Vegas, going on Homocidal Rampages dressed like Patches The Clown [A character on the cd]& going to Tijuana (at yer own risk)hehehe....All the songs are Dark with humorous stories for lyrics, deep throbbing bass lines, Surfy Melancholic guitar & a deep storytellin voice that gives you the creeps-That's DEADBOLT...Watch them live, they won't disappoint you....the cover is cool too.

It must be over a week now, that I've been playing this CD, over and over again.

I have 2 other DEADBOLT CD's, which I also listen to..
but it is Zulu Death Mask that has me captivated.
I have tried mixing in some Doors and some solo guitar Jazz...
but I have to keep putting ZDM back into the player.

I've actually contacted the bass player from this band..
and have just sent him exotic custom guitar picks that I make.

I've got 2 more DEADBOLT CD's on order.
My first purchase was 'Voodoo Trucker',
because of the astonishing 'Roadside Cross'.

It's a phenomenal song..
but the masterpieces just keep coming on the Zulu Death Mask CD.
The bad news is:
There is a song called 'October in Zimbabwe'.
The good news is:
There are 14 great songs on this one CD !

I have CD's by Dick Dale and also the Ventures.
DEADBOLT is KILLER VOODOO SURF VIBE, beyond compare.

Its physically impossible for me to write a negative Deadbolt review for 2 reasons. Number 1: I love the music with a deep fiery passion and 2: if I did write a negative review Patches the Clown would come after me. And that is one scary clown.

If you love the deep, murky, scary but seductive voodoobilly sounds of Deadbolt, this album does not disappoint. If you've never heard Deadbolt, shame on you-go buy them all now.

And I love Harley, R.A. and all the guys, but they know that.

I was recently introduced to this music at work, and was immediatle taken by Watongo and his severed heads, crazy African drums, and Macombo. Swahili Bob and his bisexual puppet show are also intertaining. But by far the most twisted and disturbingly funny song on the cd is the Return of Patches and the clown mafia. An all around funny, dark and slightly disturbing album. Thanks Mike.
