Read the details of this product before purchasing! These parts do not work alone with the Zune HD, or any Zune. They only work with the Zune dock. This is simply an AV cable, HDMI cable, and USB AC adapter. So if you have a Zune HD dock with no cables or need extra cables to leave connected in multiple places so you could move your dock around then I guess this kit is handy. But note these parts could be purchaced individually for $10 to $20 so its certainly overpriced at $50 retail. The parts do however have the lovely Zune branding.

When I first looked at this product it appeared to function as a stand alone product, however, this is not the case. Both Zune's and Amazon's product description only vaguely suggest that the sync dock is necessary for the cables to be used. Also the cables are just standard AV cables and you can use almost any AC to usb power converter from your local store; both of which can be found elsewhere for a much more reasonable price. If you really want to be able to use it you should buy the sync dock, or buy the AV dock pack, but it will cost you more. In my opinion this product is kind of a rip off, and I'm more than a little disappointed.

This only works with the Zune Dock, read the description carefully. On the upside, if you do miss that part, you at least get an official Zune USB/AC Adapter and Zune HDMI cable. Let me tell you, the thrill of owning official Zune cables will keep you awake at night.

As the review title suggests the first AV pack I bought from amazon was defective. I immediately called Zune customer support and the very friendly and helpful representative decided there was a defective component in the pack and sent me a brand new AV power pack for my Zune HD. After receiving the new one, it sort of worked... don't count on the remote control to work every time, it's very hit and miss (mostly miss) and I could never figure out the remotes "sweet spot" to getting the remote to work properly. I still think it may have something to do with interference in my home so I'm not sure if this was the case of a second defective dock. Now, I just use the dock to sync to my desktop.
