After the local pet store pressed me to buy Marshals (worst food possible), I went on the hunt for the best!

This is a good food. No, not the best. But my ferrets are doing so much better on this than that Marshall stuff. With feeding ferrets, quality does pay off in the long run in terms of vet visits. I get this bag, which is twice the size of the bags I used to get at Petco for $7 more! I can't afford Wysong--yet. But this price for their regular food may allow me to cut in Wysong. My ferrets are all healthy on this. Good weights, coats, demeanor. If you're on Marshall's, make the transition to this. At this price, it works.

Terrific food for my ferrets! I will ONLY feed them the best available and this Zupreem is one of the best. If I dont get this, I get EVO. Both in my opinion are the best of the best for ferrets! Ferrets need a high quality diet! Dont feed your loved ones cruddy food, get them a REAL food like Zupreem!

This diet is better than many others, don't get me wrong, but I believe it is best supplemented with other foods such as 8-1 ultimate crunchy in like a 3:1 ratio (1 being the zupreem), because this diet makes my ferret's poop really sticky and soft and harder to clean up.

High quality ferret food that my ferrets love. ZuPreem contains ingredients that I am comfortable with feeding my ferrets after searching through a variety of foods.

We have two ferrets, both female and over one year of age. They are both a bit finicky, and I want them to eat only the most healthy food - so we don't always see eye to eye on what they should be eating. I did a lot of research, and the ZuPreem Premium Ferret Diet is high in protein and is widely attributed to be the most healthy option. Our ferrets did prefer a more colorful food (which is why I gave the product 4/5 stars instead of 5/5) so they did try not to eat the food at first. But after they both tried it, they took to it quickly. Now they run to the food bowl every time we fill it. I have noticed an improvement in both of their coats, especially our sable. They have also put on a little weight, which is good because our sable was a bit on the small side. This is now our go-to ferret food, and I don't foresee changing that anytime in the near future. I do wish I could find it sold locally, but with Amazon Prime and a little planning it really isn't a big deal.

I initially bought this food because I wanted to switch my ferret from Marshall's to a better dry food with a higher protein content/more balanced nutrition. It also happened to be a lot cheaper than the Marshall's food I was buying so I thought why not. It took about a week and a half for me to get my ferret fully transitioned to ZuPreem, by slowly mixing larger and larger amounts of it in with her normal Marshall's food. She seems to be quite healthy, but she does not really care for this food too much and seems to enjoy eating Bil-Jac dog food more. I'm fine with her eating the Bil-Jac instead because it has a very high protein content (5Lbs of fresh, free-range steroid free chicken are used to make a 6Lb bag of food) and they cook their food in small batches for 40 mins. at a time so the food is very healthy and easy to digest. It actually looks and smells exactly like the Marshall's food! So I think once I am out of the ZuPreem I'll just let her eat the Bil-Jac. She has been eating it for about a week now and her stools are healthy and she has loads of energy. I just don't think it's worth getting Marshall's or ZuPreem when I can just feed her Bil-Jac and she likes the taste better.

My ferrets love this stuff, and it is nutritionally better for them than the Marshall food diet that is essentially required for your ferrets health yo be "guaranteed". This product is also cheaper through Amazon than the Marshall product the local pet store, which makes buying it a no-brainer.

The only problem with this stuff is it simply does not absorb water well, and therefore does not "mush up" well. My ferrets love their food wet and mashed, so this stuff lacks a critical feature compared to the Marshall brand.

That being said, my little guys love the way it tastes. Our solution was to provide two bowls for them: one for the wet, Marshall stuff, and a bowl of dry Zupreem food to snack on. This also eliminates a corner for "accidents". :)
