A BAND FROM POLAND,
By Roman (Braniewo, Poland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Zuum (Audio CD)
This record is sad. Not beacuse it's bad - its authors wanted it to be sad. Where did all that heavy, sabbat-metallica-like riffs, despair in the guitar work and Olej's singing and all that pesimistic lyrics came from? They're filled with bitterness, disappointment, rebellion and disagreement with every evil thing. You can hear a clear 'no' said to terrorism ('Czyste rece'), rasism ('Podzieleni') and human weaknesses.Such lyrics must've been put in a right frame. And each of 13 tracks 'Zuum' contains has got a striking down riff - listen to 'Twarza w twarz', dark 'Czyste rece', or psychodelic 'Nie boje sie ciebie'. There's no special ornaments, they don't fit to Prletaryat style. But there are guitar solos (f.e. 'Nie karz mnie', 'Ja chce'), there is a trip to the trash metal ('Albo ty, albo ja'). |
