I really only needed the usb mini version, but I could not find a mini OTG cable by itself. At the price it is still inexpensive. This has worked with the following:
USB Mouse
3 or 4 different USB keyboards
USB numeric pad
Several difference flash drives
AND
500GB portable hard drive! I must say I was surprised at this. Many tablet OTG ports don't provide enough juice to power a hdd. Be aware that a hdd does draw a lot more power than a flash drive. You can almost watch the battery level dropping.

I even tried this OTG adapter with a Belkin ultra mini USB hub with keyboard, mouse, and flash drive. Everything worked. I removed the flash drive and plugged in the portable hdd, and everything still worked. At that time I did have supplemental power going to the hdd using a Y cable. I did find that if you plug both a keyboard and numeric pad into the hub, only one will work. I am certain this is a limitation of the tablet or OTG in general, not necessarily this adapter.

All in all, if you need a mini usb OTG adapter this works just as well as the "official" SkyPad Alpha2 accessory that cost twice as much. I have not tried the micro because I don't have a device with micro OTG port.

I have an iView 760TPC 7" Android tablet that I needed this cable for to hook up a case with keyboard I also purchased on Amazon. The keyboard was not recognized using this cable. Whether that's a problem with this cable or a problem with the tablet I'm not absolutely certain - what I know is that I was able to fabricate my own cable that meets the OTG requirement by shorting Pins 4 and 5. But I also noticed that the cable I fabricated fit deeper into the receptacle than this cable did. So whether this cable had the issue or it was the case of my tablet not letting it fit deep enough in the receptacle I'm not really certain - what I know for certain is that this cable didn't work, nor did a few other cables identified as OTG from other manufacturers/vendors - which is why I wound up making my own after 2 weeks of trying off-the-shelf solutions.

I was looking for a mini USB OTG cable to use with a Polaroid PMID701C tablet. Didn't seem to be any solo mini USB cables, so I bought this pair, even though I don't have a need for the micro USB OTG cable (yet...)

Tried out some of my USB devices and not all of them worked, but I don't fault the cable for that.

Here's what I've tried so far...

Canon A1200 - Does not work (can't access memory card in the camera)

Sansa Clip 8GB - CAUTION! Connecting this device to the tablet caused the existing files/folders to be ERASED. A LOST.DIR directory was created with a bunch of numbered (renamed) file fragments...some of which turned out to be renamed mp3 files, but not all files were accounted for. The USB access on this device can operate in MTP mode (for protected content) or MSC mode (for drag and drop access). I had the mode set for MSC when the files were first scrambled. Reformatted the Clip and played around with it some. I was able to access the files ONCE when I forced MSC mode when connecting the Clip to the tablet, but was unable to repeat. At this point, I must conclude that is is much too risky to try to access this device via the tablet. Again, not the cable's fault.

IOGEAR GFR212SDW6 SD card reader - Works fine with an 8GB card

Logitech Optical Mouse - Works fine...This is a vanilla wired optical USB scroll mouse. When attached to the tablet, you get a mouse pointer on the screen. The left button works like pressing your finger on the screen. The right button works like the "back" button on the tablet. The scroll wheel scrolls (in the browser at least). The wheel button works like the "menu" button on the tablet.

Basic Dell USB Keyboard - Works fine...This is a vanilla wired USB keyboard from Dell.

I ordered this in conjunction with another product for a tablet for my son. It made the case/keyboard work perfectly!
