The classic European design is an adaptation of a vintage pattern first introduced by the company circa 1877, and the clean, elegant style still makes an impressive statement at tables today. Crafted from heavy-gauge 18/10 stainless steel--18 percent chrome for corrosion resistance and 10 percent nickel for luster--this continentally sized flatware features contoured handles with narrow, winged necks and wide, softly rounded tips. Sculpted detailing on the ends adds a sophisticated touch of embellishment without looking cluttered or ostentatious. True to Henckel’s history as a fine knife maker, the dinner knife offers superior balance in the hand and has a forged blade for sharp, precise cuts.

This is a heavyweight, bright and sleek colonial set. The knives are sharp, and make getting a pat of butter balanced on the end very easy. They go perfectly with my Liberty Blue dinnerware and wash up like new. The soup spoons are an ample size too, and the pie forks very pretty. I was kind of worried after reading the other reviews, but was pleasantly surprised by the quality, and received my order within 5 days. I love it!

When I relocated to Tennessee, I decided to redo my kitchen including my dishes and placesettings. I wanted something that was different yet classy. And it was important that the quality be there along with the fashion statement I wanted to make.
To say that I was pleased would be a mild statement. The weight and quality are impressive. And the style looks better "live" than it does in the picture. I would easily recommend these to someone who wants a quality product at a good price point.
