Got this knives set during an Friday Sale. A real good deal for Swilling JA Henckels product line. The blade is similar to the Henckels 4/5 star and Pro-s blades except this is stamped instead of forged. Although this is a stamped knife, the blade is actually thicker than the blade of a comparatively higher line of 4/5 star, so Forged or Stamped blade makes no difference for this steak knife. These steak knives make cutting steak easy and "classy". Your friends would think these knives are very expensive, for which is the contrary. If this set got any cheaper like the previous sale, just get a few sets at once, you won't regret it. Just beware not to sharpen it on a steel or manual sharpener, it has to be prifessionally sharpened. The only puzzling thing is in the weird design of the blade where there is a little offset curve blade near where the blade and its handle meet; what is this offset for, it can actually cuts a finger if someone got a big hand. Just be careful in handling any type of knives.

Within four months the rivets had corroded in all of the knives but I decided to live with it. After 10 months one side of the handle separated from the rivets in one of the knives and it just fell apart. I am sending the whole set back to Henckels immediately.
UPDATE:
Henckels sent me a new set of knives just like the ones I had. I have had them more than 6 months and they have not corroded. If another one breaks, Henckels will replace it. Apparently I am unable to increase the number of stars so I'll just say here that I now give them 5 stars. These knives are great for steak. They are sharper than any steak knife I have ever used.

I received a set of these steak knives as a gift for my wedding shower last year. They are absolutely astounding - they cut the toughest meat, and make slicing tomatoes a dream. They do not bend or warp like other steak knives I have used. I just purchased a second set, because my husband loves them so much the first set is constantly in the dishwasher!!!

The best set of steak kinves we have ever owned. Exceptionally well made, good feel, and keeps a sharp edge for years. Highly recommended. I'm about to buy more of them as my wife uses them for everything.

I ordered a set of these knives more than a year ago when they were offered for less than $30. We use them daily, they remain extremely sharp, look and feel wonderful, and are a pleasure to use. I have been washing them regularly in the dishwasher and have not noticed any damage or discoloration to them. I wanted to buy a second set but they were always approx. $50-$60. Finally, they were recently on sale for less than $25 so I did buy that second set. They would have been worth the full price, but I sure love a bargain. I will be watching for the next sale so I can give some as presents.

As always the Henckels name bespeaks of a quality knife. The International series offers unprecedented value for the cost conscious consumer looking to build an affordable kitchen collection with the best of names. These knives cut through even the toughest cuts of meat and poultry and have durable handles that won't break under pressure. Thy are also well balanced with fully tined handles. This is a safe recommendation for any steak lover.

These are nice knives, but they do not have a luxury feel and they are a bit lightweight. If you are familiar with the upper end Henckels kitchen knives, don't expect the same level of quality. I purchased 8 of these, but I intend to replace them with something a bit more upscale.

Henckels is a great brand & has consistently great products. We own a set of Henckels Pro-S knives & LOVE them so, I was a little hesitant to order these since the "twin gourmet" series is the cheaper line in the brand however, I shouldn't have worried. These knives are terrific - very sharp & durable & a great buy for the price. We use them practically every day & they are still razor-sharp. Highly recommend!

I've owned many steak knives in the past, and some might have been better, but the price of those knives was also much higher.
In my opinion these are great knives, that are very sharp and heavy enough to make a nice impression when serving any kind of steak that I can think of.
After buying these I'm seriously thinking about buying Henckels Chef knive set.

These knives are great. Unlike some stainless steel knives, these do not rust and are dish washer safe. They also have a very sharp edge. The blades are a little thinner than most steak knives but that actually allows them to cut better. They are worth every penny.
