Customer Reviews

No problems and the modem remained rock solid.

Recommend it - stop paying monthly for the Comcast modem - this will be paid off in less than 8 months!

Aside from that, I don't see any reason to spend more money on a modem that will work just as well.

I recently bought this modem and after setting everything up, it works great. I upgraded from an old Motorola DOCSIS 2.0 modem which was giving me about 23 Mbps down and about 3Mbps up. After upgrading to this modem, my speeds are a whopping 57 Mbps download and 7 Mbps upload. I currently have Comcast as my ISP. I tried the Motorola SB6121, and after setting everything up the modem would be stable. I had Comcast send a technician and he told me that I got a bad modem. Sent the modem back to Amazon, then went to a retail store and got the same model Motorola SB6121, and same problem. The modem would not be stable. It would loose connection from Comcast all the time. Not sure why that model would not work well with Comcast cable. The technician told me that I should of rented one from Comcast since they offered technical service with theirs and not with one you buy on your own. Which to me sounded very strange. Like he was trying to get me to rent one from them, which would add $5-$8 to my monthly bill. After I tried this modem out, I'm very satisfied with the outcome. I have never seen or experienced speeds at these rates. Almost 60 Mbps download. Don't be discouraged by the brand or the price. It works really well.

I received ths with a deal. hadn't heard of it before, but it was a good price. It is listed on the Comcast page (as the Hitrong BRG-35503) modem and that it is compatible. It doesn't say that it supports IPv6, but the packaging says it does, so when I got it, I logged into the web interface of the modem and changed the settings and it connected right up with no issues. My modem automatically activated and I had absolutely no problems and it worked great. It is MUCH cheaper than the other ones but still gave me awesome connection/speed.

This modem turned out to be exactly what I needed to take full advantage of Comcast cable internet speeds. Easy to install, tell Comcast it is a ZyXel (not Hitron) and they'll activate quickly. Super fast, small footprint and works GREAT!

This was a modem that was on the Comcast upgrade list. Shipping was fast. Product is awesome! Easy set up and connection. Just make sure to call Comcast to let them know you've upgraded because they have to upgrade in their system.

Works well with the comcast internet and replaced a Motorola modem. Installation was easy and Comcast uploaded and upgraded the firmware on it as soon as I plugged it in.

Bought this modem to replace leased modem and was concerned it would run slower. I was happy when I tested it and it ran exactly the same speed as my leased modem that was much more expensive. It doesn't have wireless but wasn't looking for that since my router is wireless and didn't want to pay for something I won't use. Doesn't have the settings the original one had, just plug it in and it works.
