Awesome Band - Great Metal Album,
By
This review is from: Zyko (Audio CD)
ZYKO is the first studio album by NYC. It is loud aggressive metal, stands out above the rest and there's no doubt its message will hit the mark among fans of rock, when you listen to it, it amazingly hits you squarely in the mind and in the gut. It will possibly make you wonder why you don't hear more new heavy metal being this good. Hell it's some of the best stuff of the decade. NYC has done a great job on this album: the music, song writing, and guitar work are all solid, unlike many first album attempts by new bands. Thanks to the work of NYC's guitarist/front man Tommy Bolan (ex Warlock and Freight Train Jane), his diligent work on this album plus his combined experience touring and writing songs with these and other high profile metal bands has definitely paid off on this new album of all new music with NYC . You can play this CD over and over again without it getting old. It's great to listen to either cranked up loud or on your iPod headphones. Caution: You can not sit still when you listen this CD, you probably should not listen to it in the car in traffic or else you may need to use Gieko.

Thumbs up,
By Ricky Bronson "metalmosher" (Grand Junction, CO) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Zyko (Audio CD)
I bought this Cd cause I had seen these dudes in grand junction CO and they blew me away. The CD does the same thing. N.Y.C. has a cool sound that doesnt sound like all the cookie-monster screaming new metal bands out there. The guitars are sick and I dig the songs. They sound like a cross between metallica and prong with some korn and static-x thrown in. If you dig lamb of god, slipknot, etc. you'll dig these guys. Cool artwork on the cover too.
