While the turner seemed fine otherwise, the tip melted when I used it to turn pancakes in a griddle. It was rated for high heat & I cook pancakes on low to medium heat, so I think this product does not perform as advertised. I will avoid this brand in the future.

I purchased this item specifically because it said it was silicone and would not melt. I used it 3 times to turn eggs and sausage in a teflon lined skillet. The edge has melted and it is unusable. I will be returning this item.

Goodness knows there's a million such products out there that do the same thing, but this one I think is particularly nice and goes to the front of my drawer. My "go-to" plastic spatula has for many years been a wide one with upturned edges for rigidity. The Zyliss turner provides nearly the same width with more depth, but even without the upturned edges it provides a very similar combination of flexibility and rigidity, along with a comfortable ergonomic design that makes it a pleasure to use. For my first use I gave it "the pancake test", and it performed very well: nice feel with just enough flex to get under the pancakes from any angle but rigid enough not to give way when picking them up (and my pancakes tend to be fairly heavy); and, importantly, almost no residue sticking to any part of the spatula to make it difficult to use on the next pancake.

I've read other's comments about melting, sticking, warping and other issues, and I have to say, use the right tool for the right job, and common sense when you're cleaning up. I've experienced some pan and stove combinations (heavy bottom pan and high-btu gas stove) that are way too hot for plastic utensils. And if you put a plastic utensil on the bottom rack of your dishwasher and let the heater coils do their drying cycle, you're probably going to end up with some melted utensils. I found what little cooking residue did stick to the spatula cleaned up very easily.

I generally use one of the "green" ceramic coated pans with a dense bottom on an electric stove. This spatula seems capable of doing a great job me for years to come, with the added bonus of being comfortable to use with a size, shape and balance that I've never come across before in an attractive, economical plastic utensil.

I'm kind of a breakfast snob. I like to think I make hard-to-beat pancakes, hashbrowns, bacon, omelets, over-easy eggs, you name it... And I've found this sturdy spatula is a very good tool for use in making all of those things. It's flexible, strong and makes flipping breakfast in the pan a breeze. I didn't have any problem with warping.

In the description, it even says, "edge won't melt or warp," which is a boldfaced lie. I thought Zyliss was a decent brand, but apparently I was wrong. The very first time I used this turner, it melted on the front edge. I was only making pancakes and my burner was on its very lowest setting! I will be contacting the company to see if I can get a full refund.

My roommate did it making pancakes. I love the Zyliss brand but not this spatula. Melted pretty bad all around the edge. Love their peelers though. I'm going to try to get a refund from Amazon.

I purchased within past 6 months and have only used this on non-stick cookware moderately for eggs & pancakes. The leading edge has melted and rolled back. Obviously I cannot use it and must be thrown away...Very disappointed.

I really like using this spatula for flipping things like sandwiches, fish and pancakes. It's thin and slides under the food easily, and it also cleans up easily!!
