Zyliss 50510 Angled Baster

I like this baster a lot - I'm not totally sure what to look for in a baster but it's easy to use, comes with a handy cleaning brush, and seems sturdy enough. The other day, however, while I was roasting a chicken, it cracked up the side. Small cracks, not a full break. It still works to some extent. More importantly, I called Zyliss and another is on its way. Great customer service (provided it arrives).

My wife's old baster bulb split in pieces during the cooking of our thanksgiving turkey. I grabbed the baster and chucked it into the backyard. This is where most things go when they fail to work properly. But then, came the problem of now needing another baster for future cooking. This is how I received the job of locating one. I told her not to worry and I'll search Amazon for one. There were many basters advertised and I remembered the wife requesting a glass one with a brush to clean it. The Zyliss 50510 Baster advertised was a bit more expensive then the others but I wanted quality, something that will last awhile. I purchased it and the baster arrived shorly thereafter. My wife was very happy to receive it. She used it during Christmas Day cooking and remarked to me how great it was. The baster brush made cleaning easy. My wife and I recommend the Zyliss Baster to everyone.

I ordered this because of the red color and the combo of the injector and angled basting tip. I didn't see the icluded brush in the description so that was a nice plus. There is also a little plastic rest for the baster. Considering what other basters go for, I thought the price was great and it is included in the free shipping. A nice colorful addition to my kitchen.

I just received my order and this baster was an item I really needed. I ordered four kitchen items so they all fell under the "purchase four and only pay for three items." The baster was my free item because it cost the least. It is supposed to have two detachable tips; one an angled baster tip and the other an injector tip. My unit never came with a baster tip. I think I can still use it. You do get what you pay for! Regardless, this is a nice baster. I especially like the brush that comes with the unit.

This baster is really nice and very easy to use. Used it on our turkey for Thanksgiving this last year. It was easy to use and the angled needle allows the liquid to be placed under the skin of the turkey. I purchased this through Amazon and it arrived before we needed it.

I can't stand this baster. The bulb is loose so that sometimes the weight of the liquid will pull the tube down and the bulb pops off. Also drips. It makes me crazy.

Usually basters do not absorb liquid efficiently or effectively. You are left with squeezing the juice and then losing it with the next subsequent attempt. This baster absorbs the liquid and keeps it so that you can have a fully filled baster each time and can baste your meat or veggies efficiently. Great job!
