This book is not only pretty to look at, it has wonderful recipes that aren't too difficult to prepare. I especially enjoyed the mexican stuffed pepper recipe.

Okay, for all the Country Music lovers out there, I stole the line from Aaron Lewis, but it is a great line, and this is a really good book on preparing Wild Venison. Venison is one of those meats that everyone should try at least once in their life. My only reason for not giving this book a 5 star rating was because the author/editor repeats some of the recipes regardless of the type of venison. Having totally different recipes and noting that the same recipes can be used for white tail or mule deer would have been a better approach in a few of the recipes.

We recently got this book and we are really pleased.Great photos and instructions and the recipes are pretty easy to follow. These recipes sound really wonderful and we are looking forward to trying them out. But since we know cooking venison... we are pretty darned sure this is going to be great. We'll stop back after we have tried a few; but it sure looks like it was worth it! |
