Which accessories do I need to use my OLD Aiwa bookshelf stereo for sound? It has red/white jacks only. Manuf./model#s would be appreciated! (converter, cables, ..)

I bought a converter from Sewelldirect.com, but dont see it anymore. Try this product: TV Digital Optical Coax to Analog Stereo RCA Audio Converter Adapter 24Bit/192KHz, Includes NEW 6 feet Optical Cable You may also need an Amazon Basics Digital Optical Audio (Toslink) cable 6 ft to connect your TV to the converter.

The composite/component adaptor is only for input to the TV. My dad has a 42E5 (has the same inputs/outputs) and has run into this problem, as his old Aiwa stereo only has 1 input (red/white composite). I'll be checking out that Optical-to-RCA adapter.

The Panasonic HDTV has a digital audio output jack. If your stereo doesn't have a digital audio input for an optical cable, I don't know how you would use your stereo with the TV.
