Benny Hill was just plain awful! It was running in the Bay Area back when I was a kid at the same time PBS was running Monty Python and there just was no comparison.

I can think of a number of MP routines which had me laughing until a cried ("it's an ex-parrot! Nah, he's just resting..."). On the other hand, I can't think of a single time I ever had the patience to sit through an entire episode of BH's atrocious "comedy" show.

I *so* agree, James. I know many individuals who can recite MP dialogue until they turn blue in the face. All I remember about BH is him running around with bimbos while ineptly singing stupid songs. Ugh.
