I reluctantly bought this, because it was the only product that I see available for my Kenwood DPX 302. I read a bunch of reviews from different sites and it seems like there's an ongoing issue with the connector. Mine would play fine in the right side of my speakers, but i would have to put pressure on it to get it to play out of my speakers on the left side of my Sequoia. After reading other reviews and seeing that some people had the same problem and returned it and got just another piece of junk--I decided to fix it myself. I ordered the connector that plugs into the Ipod and took apart the one that came with this cable. If you look carefully, that connector is just a bad design. All of the pins are kind of offset/staggered at different heights from one another. If you look at any other type of connector that plugs into an ipod, all of the pins are in a straight line. The connector I bought was in a straight line and so I just removed the original connector and soldered the new one on. Works like a charm now! I didn't have a problem doing this because I repair electronics. I don't recommend this product unless you feel that you can repair it yourself.

This is a horrible product. The connection to the i pod must have a loose wire because it will only play in half the speakers unless you physically hold the connection up. I tried it on multiple ipods and was sent not 2 but 3 replacement adapters and they all did the same thing. Please do not buy this unless you enjoy cursing at a wire and taking out your cd player multiple times.

I agree with the other poor reviews. This cable has a defect in either the cable itself close to the iPod connector or the connector itself. I will probably cut the Kenwood connector off and connect it to a good iPod cable. This product is very dissapointing.

I don't know if there are a bunch of defective cables floating around, as the other reviews indicate. But I've been using this cable for several months now, without a problem. Charges and plays my iPod Classic through my Kenwood deck perfectly. My only complaint is that it will neither charge or play my 3G iPhone. But that's more of an iPhone design issue than anything.
