Adidas Shin Instep Guard

I understand from my fellow TKD classmates that the Adidas shin guards are durable and protective, however, I did not know that the sizing is a bit off. I purchased according to the measurements provided, which was perfect, but the elastic band that fastens around the calf was way too small. I do not have large calf muscles, so I was disappointed. I sent them back and will try the next larger size in hopes that they won't be too long and there is more material for the band. Jury is out on that on yet. By the way, the merchant's instructions for returns are poor. They provide no information other than to send them an e-mail. So, I sent them an e-mail after I mailed them (to meet the whopping 10-day return policy) only to find out that I needed to include an RMA number. I will be contacting them shorty to either get my money back or ensure the larger size is on it's way.

I read that this item runs small, so although I usually wear a small in mens' tshirts, I ordered a medium shin guard. I'm a 5'6" woman with 16" circumference calves, and they fit, but very snugly. That suits me since I play hard in them, but if you don't want them to be tight you may want to go another size up.

This guard is especially light. it's a great way to get the control down for beginnners.

These came exactly as described, and they are a significant upgrade from the cloth guards that most schools issue you. The protection is better, the guards are lighter, and they aren't as hot as the sock style that I was used to before. This is a great first buy for anyone planning on sticking with TKD for a while.

I bought some not to long ago and the fit me great, I truly love the shin guards the fit me perfect and are better then the old cloth ones i use to wear. I am very happy with this product, the quality, the comfort and the pricing.
