Great Structured Running Shoe,

I had severe pain in my knees and an ankle from running in shoes without proper support. About 1-2 weeks after running in these shoes, my problems were gone. The shoe has good structure for over-pronation. Shoe is light and breathes well. The heel portion of the sole is split and flexible which dissipates impact with the ground. The only small problem is that rocks will get stuck in the split. The air pocket of the heel also took in a bit of water while running on a wet/muddy trail. It's a great support shoe for street running or smooth/dry trails.

Adidas gets it right!,

There are many very good brands of running shoes, not to mention styles and function. I guess it all boils down to personal preference, but in my case, at 5'8" and weighing in at 190lbs, because of my muscle building workouts, these are just fantastic at cushioning each and every step that I take. This as many expert runners know, minimizes pain and fatigue, thereby making you run more efficiently. I first tried these on at an Adidas store, and I was impressed with how light and comfortable they are and because they are true to size, not too long, short, wide or narrow, which is exactly what I want. The only other shoe that I would try in my particular case, are the Brooks Adrenaline GTS8, which are the ones that I am just retiring. These shoes are absolutely amazing as well, very comfortable, light and stylish, I actually like their more simple design over the Adidas, but I decided to give Adidas a try for now. Nevertheless, the GTS 8, are the only ones that actually put me in contact with the surface that I am running on, while at the same time providing me the support and cushion that I need. For now, I feel that this Adidas pair, will provide me great impact support, because of the way it is designed, the materials and especially the split heel on the sole, which pretty much diffuses impact energy outwards throughout the shoe. In short, I need to run more efficiently and for longer periods of time, with minimal amount of discomfort and I feel that these shoes will do the trick!

This is a pretty good running shoe with tons of good cushion - good for a 205 lb guy like me that covers 30 miles or so in a week. I was able to put four miles on them the first night I pulled them out of the box. My only complaint is the design of the heel. Adidas seperated one side of the heel from the other, I think to reduce weight, but I live in the desert and constantly get rocks stuck in it. The split in the middle also isn't great for lateral movement, so I wouldn't recommend this shoe for cross training or as a common athletic shoe. If you are just looking to straight-up log miles, you'll be happy with the Salvation.

Married to someone who runs on pavement constantly. He has had problems with his ankles and knees, but since using these there no longer seems to be a problem. The only complaint I have is that he came home yesterday sad faced because one of the inflated pockets popped in the shoe. He is hard on his shoes, so I dont blame the product.

I have only worn these shoes a few times but they are like walking on a cloud. I myself am not a huge runner but can see where these would be fantastic for running. I would definitely recommend these to anyone who likes a lot of cushion and stability.

I have been a long time fan of Asics running shoes until I tried these on. I have no arches and use motion control shoes. Although these are not motion control shoes but stability+ shoes, I decided to get them since the look of the motion control shoes (Brooks Beast, New Balance 1012) look like orthopedic shoes. These are cool looking shoes! The first thing you will notice is the cushioning in the mid-foot area. I compared these to the others listed above as well as Asics gel evolution 5 and Kayano's. These shoes have all the fancy stuff that is supposed to be better for your foot: adiPRENE, adiWEAR, formotion, blown rubber, pro-moderator torsion system and geofit. Even though all running shoes have similar stuff, once you tries these on you will most like buy these for the amazing cushioning that makes the other shoes feel like you are running barefoot.

Love these runners, they're light weight, supportive, have an incredible amount of cushioning and breath extremely well. I've done 3 distance runs with them (12,13 and 13 kms) and they've been fantastic. And the price is unreal at less than $56 for the pair.

This is by far the best running shoe I've put my foot in. I have at least 10 miles on the shoes now and would get a second pair.

OK - Even Next To Nikes,

I am a Nike runner, and still am, but love to try shoes on when I see a pair that entices me. I tried these salvations on while at a shop during a non-shopping day. I am not normally an impulsive shoe shopper, but as a runner understood that these would make a great shoe. For walking, these are the most comfortable shoes I have had on - more so than my hush puppies - and for running, wow - so nice. Hit the ground smooth and off we go. Good for me for interval training and my 30 k lsd. Love em - but for you: try them on and get a feel for them. Decide as we all have a different stride. I have no regrets with these sitting next to my Nikes.

Blisters, blisters, blisters,

I was a very happy Adistar Control 5 owner. So when this upgraded model was out, I bought a pair.Unfortunately these shoes are so badly designed. They are really hard to get to fit your foot - no matter how you tie them. And I have never had so many blisters before. My arches are a bloody mess on both feet now. So no running for a few weeks. Back to the drawing board, Adidas! |
