I play a lot of racquetball, about 4 days a week, three hours a session. I'm a pretty heavy guy and I've tried racquetball shoes and various types of court shoes, but they have pretty much been shredded after just a few weeks of play or they were too heavy (basketball shoes.) One pair only lasted two weeks before the sides ripped out! Eventually I decided to order a pair of Adidas Stabil 7's on the recommendation of another player at my gym. They were great shoes and lasted TWO YEARS before they tore a bit at the little toe area. They had exceptional roll resistance and in the two years I used them I never sprained or even came close to rolling an ankle. Because of the exceptional life and performance I got out of the 7's I decided to get another pair of Adidas. It looks like the Stabil 7 is no longer in production, so I got a pair a of Carbonstabils. I've been playing in them for about four weeks now and I have to say they are even better then the 7's! They have even more support on the sides and are lighter (the 7's were a bit heavy), but I get the feeling they are AT LEAST as tough as the old 7's were. The side straps are REALLY STRONG and supportive even compared to the 7's. I have recommended these shoes as a replacement to my friend at the gym. The only down side I can see to these shoes is they are spendy, over $100 US every place I looked. If you get two years out of them like I did they will still be well worth the money. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that I haven't had them long enough to know if they will last and justify the high price, YET. I would recommend them to anyone that plays court sport with lots of lateral movement, squash, racquetball, court soccer, etc...

PS. I've been using these for four months now and they're still going strong. No tears or other failures. Raising my rating to five stars.

I save these only for indoor tennis so that I do not get them dirty or wear them out. I never realized that I could run with a bit more finese with better sneakers.

I as used to playing with just any old sneakers but I was more clutzy. These have really improved my game.

Excellent shoe to buy for indoor court, stable, very nice fit and good look. It is a way better than the Stabil S.
