adidas is a name that stands for excellence in all sectors of sport around the globe. The vision of company founder Adolf Dassler has become a reality, and his corporate philosophy has been the guiding principle for successor generations. The idea was as simple as it was brilliant: to provide every athlete with the best possible equipment. It all began in 1920, when Adi Dassler made his first shoes using the few materials available after the First World War. Today, the adidas product range extends from shoes, apparel, and accessories for basketball, soccer, fitness and training to adventure, trail and golf.

For one, the looks of this shoe are just stunning. The red lines on the shoe are really vibrant, the white is very bright, and the glossy black is great for hiding smudges on the toes. But, the thing I really love is the fit. In the past I've had to really fight to get my basketball shoes to fit the way I need them to. I wear a heavy ankle brace on my right ankle, so it's difficult finding shoes that will fit one un-braced ankle tightly enough, but still be flexible enough to squeeze a heavy brace into the other one. No problem with these. The inside of the shoe is soft and comfortable, and plenty tight on my un-braced left ankle. The right braced ankle fits nice and snug in the other shoe with no discomfort at all.
These shoes are absolutely fantastic if you're a basketball player, and you'll definitely have the best looking pair of shoes on the court.
The only reason I am docking them a star is for build quality that I have not come to expect from Adidas. I wear these shoes on the basketball court and that is it. However, the white sole on the bottom of the shoe has seen some discoloration and is turning to black in spots with wear already. I have had other Adidas shoes that have lasted me well over 2 years playing basketball. I realize this may be unrealistic, but that is my experience and I am sticking to it. Also, there are some threads in the tongue that are fraying and around the lace holes on the sides of the shoes. Nothing major yet, but I am guessing it is only a matter of time.
These shoes look great, feel wonderful and are light. I just wish the build quality fully matched the wearability of the shoes.
