My first post was a little outdated, I am now updating how I feel about these spikes.
I still do not think these spikes are good. They are uncomfortable to wear, and almost impossible to wear with socks on. They did help me with my drive phase, in providing a very good foot strike. However, these spikes were no good once I begun my maximum speed phase. I felt as if i was going to fall over every time. I even attempted to change my foot strike, that did not work. I finally realized it wasn't me, rather, it was the spikes. These spikes work well for athletes who are not as tall as myself. An average sized man, sprinter, will probably enjoy these spikes and find them as a good fit. However, being 6'4" and about 180lbs, this did not suite my needs at all. I am changing the item review to three starts because of the limited amount of people who have the height to wear these spikes. Original post: *Worst spikes ever, they hurt to have on, difficult to get on. They are heavy and made my foot strike change, I went back to my turbo phantoms and they were 100 times better. I run the 100 and 200 and my 400 meter turbo phantom spikes were better then this garbage. I have been running track for over 9 years and I believe I am pretty good at what I do. Saying that do not buy these, get some Nike super fly's or turbo phantoms. These just do not cut it. |
