I purchased these shoes just prior to the beginning of this season. The padded midsection helps my son move around the mat easier and the velcro straps eliminate using shoe strings as a handle for other wrestlers. My son is the only wrestler on his team with these shoes and several other wrestlers have inquired about them. The price was close to or the same as the other shoes other wrestlers are wearing, but I believe the quality is higher.

I'm a woman into knife sparring so I needed some shoes to make sure I didn't roll my ankle during practice. I'm a size 8 1/2, so I ordered a size 7 1/2. The shoes are around 1/2 inch bigger than my feet, but after putting on the shoes, I don't notice that they're slightly bigger. They feel lightweight and think they'll do great in practice.
