Adidas Microbounce Running Shoe, March 31, 2010
This is my second pair of Adidas Microbounce. The original "bounce" from Adidas had larger hollow cells on the sole of the shoe which made for a stiffer feel. I actually returned those as they ended up hurting my feet. When the Microbounce came out, Adidas shrunk the size of the cells and added more of them in. Now you can actually feel the rebound effect and much less stiff. I use these shoes exclusively for step aerobics and they provide the cushion needed for moving up and down off of a step yet still provide the firm support when changing directions laterally. As usual, Adidas tend to fit the narrower foot better than Nike or other shoes with a wider build. Less movement inside the shoe makes for happier feet! Unfortunately, these shoes are not all that easy to find in retail stores. Even the Adidas outlet stores don't seem to have them in stock. I found this last pair on Amazon. Not a cheap running shoe (low $100's) but worth the extra money in my opinion.
