I purchased these about a year ago for a couple of reasons:

* I needed a new pair of running shoes
* I believe that good shoes should cost at least $100 and to spend less would be doing my feet a disservice.
* I was tired of getting my feet wet when walking through woods and fields (and the occasional jungle).
* They were available in the hard to find size of 12 1/2.

The first thing that I noticed was that they were much greener in color than they looked from the photo. I have to say, they aren't much for style. HOWEVER, they are very comfortable, they are great for running (O-K, slogging) and they are water resistant. An all together nice pair of sneakers.
