Great large bag March 18, 2010

I have been looking for a good, fairly inexpensive bag that would carry my basketball and basketball shoes. This does so with room to spare. Even with my bulky water bottle added to the two there's plenty of room left, and the bag is much more durable than my previous bag that started to get holes in it after about a year.

I bought this bag to replace my old and smaller one that I had previously used for exercising. It is a great bag! I can fit my weight belt, push-up bars, knee wraps, 2-10lb. dumbbells, jump rope, weight lifting gloves, weight lifting journal, heart monitor watch, and change of cloths all in it for my workouts. It is a very roomy bag and has not been a disappointment yet! The only downfall is that there is only 3 outside pockets so organization is a little harder but for a gym bag it works great!

About me: I am an avid, long-time gym-goer who takes a whole bunch of stuff back and forth from the office/home/gym. I need a decent, easily accessible bag. Not too much to ask, right? I bought this to replace an embarassingly old Nike gym bag that I now wish I had kept. Here's the good: spacious. I carry a large and small towel, suit, goggles, cap, flipflops, sneakers, toiletries bag, workout clothes and work clothes and shoes in the middle compartment. Never jam packed. Probably larger than even I need. I did not buy this from Amazon BTW...

Now the bad: I hate this bag. I curse it while I am walking everyday to/from the office and gym. If you are going from car to building, probably not an issue but the shoulder strap is not good. The padding does NOT stay put and is starting to rip (I have used this regularly for less than 6 mos). I am short and cannot get the strap to shorten enough or stay shortened.

The 2 side pockets are great to have but on my old bag there were 2 zippers on either side of the pocket so you didn't need to totally open the entire compartment to get something. I can't tell you how mny times the crap has all spilled out when I unzippered it to grab something. The u-top zipper is so-so, I am partial to straight zippers for quick access. The small zippered pocket to the front is fairly useless as it sits too low to access easily.

A key ring holder would be nice. I am already looking for a new one and specifically came to Amazon to warn others not to buy this bag via my honest review! Take heed gymgoers!

Seam ripped after short use

Worst bag ever

good strong durable bag
comes with an insert to keep the bottom flat and strong, inner and outside pockets are useful, had it about three months now and the zippers and bag have held up nicely. Read more
