This is my first review, which I am only doing because of the only other review. This is a great shoe for kids. I have soley used this shoe as my four year olds tennis shoes since he was one. If sized right (my son has extra wide feet), they are very long lasting. The shell toe does not wear down or become scuffed. He is on his 6th pair and not once had I need a replacement before he grew out of them. Great shoe!

I bought this show after having my child's foot measured. He wore it once and his big toe blistered up about double in size from rubbing the inside of the hard shell-top of this shoe. Dad didn't learn his lesson the first time and bought the same shoe a few months later in a larger size of course and the same thing happened again. My advice, buy shoes made for children and not miniature adult shoes.
