5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful shoe
I purchased this shoe in red and white a few months ago and hoped that the cushioning would help my shins - it does. I do high impact aerobics 4 days per week and run on occasion and although this is a running shoe, it does wonders for aerobics. Much better than any other shoe I own, and I have quite a few - Mizuno, Nike Shox, NewBalance. I get compliments on it...

2.0 out of 5 stars cool looking but not so comfortable
I am a long time Adidas wearer, and I can usually buy a pair online and not worry about fit or comfort. I bought this style after reading many customer reviews that praise the bounce, comfort, breathability and styling. The look and color are great [since they don't show the dirt from running], but after the first week of wear my knees/ankles were noticeably sore. I...

Much better than any other shoe I own, and I have quite a few - Mizuno, Nike Shox, NewBalance. I get compliments on it almost every day in the gym; everyone wants to know where I got them from. The size is true to form, and extremely comfortable with a wide toe area - makes my feet look a bit smaller as well.

2.0 out of 5 stars cool looking but not so comfortable, October 30, 2009
I am a long time Adidas wearer, and I can usually buy a pair online and not worry about fit or comfort. I bought this style after reading many customer reviews that praise the bounce, comfort, breathability and styling. The look and color are great [since they don't show the dirt from running], but after the first week of wear my knees/ankles were noticeably sore. I figured the shoes just needed to be broken in, so I gave them a full month, but just never got that "ahhhhh" feeling you want in a shoe you're going to wear 4-5 days a week for exercise. And, I noticed despite the perfed holes all over, my feet were hotter than in my previous Adidas shoes [the shoes have a plastic cup that cradles your foot, and I think it makes your feet retain heat/moisture].

When running, I thought they were overall a little stiff, and didn't have the flexibility you want in a running shoe. They felt a little clunky. As far as "energy return", I just didn't notice any benefit...and when you really think about the structure, the soles are made of rubber "donuts" that give, but have no reason to bounce back, like a shoe with a "shock" design for cushioning. A shock wants to spring back after it is compressed, but a circle really has no mechanical reason to spring back and return energy to you.

It's a well-made shoe, and looks great, but I will be retiring these from running and using them for hiking or casual wear. I will buy Adidas in the future, but this style just didn't work for me. You might want to try these on before you commit if you don't have previous experience with the Microbounce design.

4.0 out of 5 stars good support & cushioning. a little short, October 27, 2009

I'm a run/walker w/bad knees and find this sole style does a good job of absorbing impact and preventing knee pain.

This particular shoe has lightweight "spacer fabric," so I wouldn't buy it to run outside in frigid weather.

The metal grommets prevent you from lacing the shoes as tight as you'd like because the laces keep slipping.

The shoe is a tad short. I wear 9.5 medium, and my big toe touches the tip. but i haven't had discomfort from wearing it and would still buy it again.

I have a few pair of the adidas bounce basketball shoes and they have been great for my back. I bought these for my wife to run in and she really likes them as well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not what we hoped, July 14, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My wife purchased this shoe for the purpose of running. We were happy with it's cool styling but it didn't have enough cushioning/support for her running. Her feet actually hurt both times she tried them. She returned the shoes and then got a top-notch asics running shoe (kayano, i think) and she loves it. asics costs a good bit more but seems to be worth it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Purchased for my sister, July 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
My sister needed a new pair of shoes for walking and running. Found these for cheap on amazon with free shipping. She initially loved the sneakers but eventually complained about the weight when running. Overall, great shoe for her walks, not so much for running. However, she walks more than running. Purchased in 2009...review better late than never.

I needed a new pair of sneakers...admittedly I bought these because they were on sale and they looked really cool. Boy was I pleasantly surprised when I put them on and found out how COMFORTABLE they are! You literally do feel like you're bouncing along as you walk/jog. I absolutely love these shoes.
