This review is from: adidas Women's 1.1 Running Shoe (Apparel)
The show is comforting, stylish and accommodating all day, feet nor legs were not tired after very long day. I thought the color was pearl, the shoe has a shiny pearl finish that I could not tell from the pictures(um)I love the heaviness, similar style Nike 8's are snug, so I got 8 1/2 too wide, too big, next pr will Be an 8.

More of a Gimmick...,

I am a runner and purchased these in hopes that they would provide great arch support, nice cushioning, good stability, and ease for the knees -- not too much to ask in a good running shoe, especially at this price.
My review: (1) The arch support feels decent but the shoe is wider than normal which is not very suitable for a runner. (2) The shoe is, at the very least, a half size larger than normal. I believe it was a full size too large. I typically wear an 8.5 running shoe and probably needed a 7.5 in this shoe. (3) The tongue on the shoe is entirely too large. If you wear ankle socks to run, the tongue on this shoe will rub your foreleg to pieces. The rise on the tongue is too tall which makes it rather annoying to those of us who run in low socks. It may seem to be a petty complaint, but for a shoe at this price, this issue is worth mentioning. (4) The adjustable cushioning (i.e., what makes this shoe "intelligent"), is pretty much a gimmick. I do not notice any difference when adjusting the cushioning of this shoe. The idea is appealing but when put in action, this feature is simply a joke. You are better to shop around for the running shoe that meets your cushioning needs. Do not expect this shoe to suit the runner who likes a lot of cushioning as well as the one who likes moderate cushioning; it will not happen. Overall, this shoe might be a decent fit for someone looking for good arch support but I would advise you buy in a smaller size (and maybe width, as well). Even so, I would contend there are other, less-expensive shoes out there with good arch support so buying strictly for that feature is not very cost-effective. For someone looking for a good running shoe, I would argue this shoe is purely a gimmick. The adjustable cushioning is worthless; The fit is less-than-desireable; and the super-sized tongue is nothing but annoying. For the purpose for which I purchased these shoes, I was very disappointed. |
