4.0 out of 5 stars Foot problems? Add these to your yes list., April 11, 2009
I'm no athlete but these are great for those of us with foot problems. After 20+ years of standing on my feet working as a floral designer I have flat feet and over-pronation problems that in turn affect my back, hips, knees,etc.. I HATE shopping for shoes now. It takes hours of wading thru web sites (I don't even bother with retail stores anymore) reading the reviews of others with problems like mine, and back and forthing between sites comparing prices. It makes me crazy to say the least. But I digress. The adiStar Formotion sneakers are now on my list of shoes I can wear and be happy all day. I'm now a nanny to twin boys and spend all day on my feet pushing them in their stroller, chasing them around, and keeping a house clean,(multiply everything by two). I will say that I wear a pair of non-prescription insoles (SOLE ultra) too because I have found that the original liners are never worth the powder to blow them up. Lastly, they don't look like old lady shoes, in fact they look like they're ready for some serious athletics, I just let people think thats why I wear'em!

5.0 out of 5 stars Injury free shoes, February 24, 2009
By
This review is from: adidas Women's adiStar Control 5 Running Shoe (Apparel)
I've started running 5 months ago and discovered that running was very hard for my flat/overpronation feet and my joints (I'm 33). From running I got injuries including IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, weak ankles, and jumper's knee. At first, I thought the injuries was just because I didn't have a running technique at all but after buying these shoes (a month ago) with a very good deal from Amazon.com, I found out that I've been wearing the wrong shoes. These are the real motion control shoes that really work for any runner with severe overpronation feet. Now I'm injury free and ready to retire all my other running shoes especially now I'm entering a training for a full marathon. Also I've just got another pair of these for spare or for a second pair if the first one are wet from running in the rain. I think I have to get my third pair, my search is done.

5.0 out of 5 stars Most comfortable shoe for me!!!, April 28, 2009
By
Jennifer T. (Santa Rosa, CA) - See all my reviews
These are great running shoes. I have a high arch and somewhat narrow foot (narrow to regular) and these fit perfectly in their regular width. Snug but not tight, enough cushioning and very lightweight, I can go forever in these with no discomfort. There was always some type of pressure point with other shoes I tried (all highly reviewed as well), or they would create a burning sensation on the balls of my feet after 30 minutes or so. These Adidas offer the perfect fit and the perfect feel for me. I love them!
