Foot problems? Add these to your yes list.,
By
This review is from: adidas Women's adiStar Control 5 Running Shoe (Apparel)
I'm no athlete but these are great for those of us with foot problems. After 20+ years of standing on my feet working as a floral designer I have flat feet and over-pronation problems that in turn affect my back, hips, knees,etc.. I HATE shopping for shoes now. It takes hours of wading thru web sites (I don't even bother with retail stores anymore) reading the reviews of others with problems like mine, and back and forthing between sites comparing prices. It makes me crazy to say the least. But I digress. The adiStar Formotion sneakers are now on my list of shoes I can wear and be happy all day. I'm now a nanny to twin boys and spend all day on my feet pushing them in their stroller, chasing them around, and keeping a house clean,(multiply everything by two). I will say that I wear a pair of non-prescription insoles (SOLE ultra) too because I have found that the original liners are never worth the powder to blow them up. Lastly, they don't look like old lady shoes, in fact they look like they're ready for some serious athletics, I just let people think thats why I wear'em!

Injury free shoes,
By
This review is from: adidas Women's adiStar Control 5 Running Shoe (Apparel)
I've started running 5 months ago and discovered that running was very hard for my flat/overpronation feet and my joints (I'm 33). From running I got injuries including IT band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, weak ankles, and jumper's knee. At first, I thought the injuries was just because I didn't have a running technique at all but after buying these shoes (a month ago) with a very good deal from Amazon.com, I found out that I've been wearing the wrong shoes. These are the real motion control shoes that really work for any runner with severe overpronation feet. Now I'm injury free and ready to retire all my other running shoes especially now I'm entering a training for a full marathon. Also I've just got another pair of these for spare or for a second pair if the first one are wet from running in the rain. I think I have to get my third pair, my search is done.

Most comfortable shoe for me!!!,

These are great running shoes. I have a high arch and somewhat narrow foot (narrow to regular) and these fit perfectly in their regular width. Snug but not tight, enough cushioning and very lightweight, I can go forever in these with no discomfort. There was always some type of pressure point with other shoes I tried (all highly reviewed as well), or they would create a burning sensation on the balls of my feet after 30 minutes or so. These Adidas offer the perfect fit and the perfect feel for me. I love them!

The toebox is wide enough to be comfortable. The shoe has a good durable sole. I was able to purchase these shoes for very good price, especially for a motion control shoe.

I have chronic plantar fascitus after being a competitive runner for most of my life and this shoe has been great! I run/walk now, but I can wear it without my orthotic inserts and my feet feel great!

This running shoe is very well made and hold up to me, a heavy runner who runs 5 days a week. The good part of this shoe is the midsole. It is very sturdy yet it is flexible enough to do distance comfortably. Though I have had roomier footbeds I think that this one is better than average. The heel fits snugly and does not rub against the back of the shoe. I like these shoes.

Best running shoe ever!,

The Adidas Adistar Control 5 shoe is an outstanding running shoe. It gives me the stability, control and comfort my flat feet needs. I enjoy the lightweight and breathability of my new running shoe. They feel like my natural steps with the shoes added benefits. This shoe is an excellent investment.

No more shin splints!,

Great shoes for my nearly flat feet. After shin splints and knee pain were making me super painful after running I looked into getting some better shoes for my low arches. They really help with knee pain and pretty much eliminate the shin splints I used to get when I would run! I haven't had to ice my shins since I started wearing these! I'm usually an 8 to an 8 1/2 and most often get an 8 1/2 in running shoes - but an 8 fits me perfectly in these shoes. I'm looking for my next pair! They are not the cutest shoes - but functional!

prefer Adidas Bounce,
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: adidas Women's adiStar Control 5 Running Shoe (Apparel)
Wide toe bed. Soft cushiony base. Comfortable. Ran a bit small, had to buy 1/2 size bigger than my normal size.
Overall I prefer Adidas Bounce because of the firmer support. I have narrow feet so the wide toe bed of the ProStar is too wide for me. The thing I hate about Bounce, however, is that small stones sometimes get caught in the open part of the sole. Not a big problem, but kind of annoying. For that reason, if I go anywhere that I know has lots of small stones or sandy soil, I use my ProStars instead. On the subject of sizing, Bounce sizing was inconsistent (I bought 2 pairs - one fit great, the other in the same size was small.) |
