Awesome shoes, December 30, 2009

I was running in the Supernovas Ground Control before these. I supinate and had some trouble with the Supernova Ground Controls because of it but sorted it out with orthotics. Even still, I didn't want to deal with the hassle of orthotics again and wanted a lighter shoe. The Supernova Controls are a little heavy for marathon training and the Adizeros are really lightweight. The Adizeros were a shoe I looked at briefly a few months ago when I knew I would be changing shoes but I decided on the Asic Nimbus instead. When it came time to actually get new shoes, the price of the Nimbus made me hesitate. I found these for just over 30 bucks on Amazon, did some further research and loved the color and style. I'm not sure why most of Adidas's black shoes are Trail Running shoes but I definitely prefer them over the other colors. The top of the shoe is ventilated which is nice when you are doing long miles but not so nice if you are running in the snow. They could use a little more cushioning but I still found them more comfortable over longer distances (5+ miles) and without the knee pain I had in the Supernovas until I put in more cushioning. The size it pretty accurate. The shoe is great and I don't regret buying them at all.
